The baby's headband : if you try it, don't give it up. It's just about understanding how to wear it and doing some training.
The biggest obstacle, in fact, is to understand, at the beginning, how to use it, and take the hand, so that it becomes a natural gesture.
It is a very valid alternative to a wheelchair and stroller, also because the child carried in the band, in close contact with the body of mum or dad, tends to calm down more easily and be more peaceful .
Furthermore, when you carry a child in the band, your hands are free and this can be useful, for example, if you go for a small shopping alone with your baby or if you have to hold another child by the hand.
And the footprint of the stroller is also avoided if, for example, you have to take an elevator or public transport. The baby carrier is also very useful at home, when, for example, you want to calm the baby's cries but, at the same time, you want to keep your hands free to perform some small tasks.
Finally, the band can also be valuable for breastfeeding in a comfortable position.

How to choose the baby carrier band?
There are different types of baby carrier bands:
> Long elastic band: can carry children up to 7-9 kilos (about three or four months) and is therefore used in the first months of life; sometimes the packaging of the various models is indicated for use even in slightly older children but care must be taken because the support may no longer be suitable for the child's weight.
The long elastic band, precisely because of its elasticity, is simpler to use than a rigid one, because it follows the mother and child's body better. Of course we must take the hand, but it can be an excellent ally in the first months of a child's life.
> Long rigid band: usually these bands are made of hemp, bamboo, linen or organic cotton. The long rigid band can be used from birth, but being made of a very resistant fabric it is also suitable for carrying older children.
They exist of various lengths. The length should be chosen according to the age of the child but also according to the size of the mother or baby, so as not to have too much unused fabric or, on the contrary, is too short. It is not particularly easy to wear, but even in this case it is all a matter of habit.
> Band with rings : these bands are shorter than the previous ones and are equipped with two anallergic rings at the ends to make it easier to use.
They are, in effect, more practical to wear than the two described above and are usually one size. The newborn is less tight to the wearer's body and therefore can guarantee less freedom of movement than the first two.
> Mei tai band: probably the easiest to wear; of course, we still need to get carried away, but there are several models, more or less structured, that make the job more immediate. It is actually a cross between a band and a pouch.
It is indicated starting from two / three months, when the baby begins to support himself on his back. Also in this case, the newborn is less tight to the body of the child and the wearer.
