The oily skin of the face
The sebaceous glands located in the epidermis of the body and also of the face normally produce sebum in such quantities as to make the skin well hydrated and protected.
However, when this does not happen there are 2 drawbacks: dry skin and oily skin.
Oily skin is characterized by excessive greasiness, often accompanied by blackheads and blackheads or pimples, due to the fact that sebum does not allow adequate transpiration and removal of impurities .
The causes can be hormonal and related to particular moments of life, or even a lifestyle that overloads the primary excretory organs, assigning secondary ones, including the skin, to dispose of an excess of toxins. Even moments of particular psycho-emotional stress, inadequate nutrition, can lead to developing the problem of oily skin.
It is easy to think that for an oily skin it is necessary to degrease the epidermis to solve the problem, avoiding nourishing treatments; actually acting aggressively worsens the manifestations of oily skin, as the skin increases its sebum production, in most cases. In the remaining cases, the opposite problem may occur: dry skin, impoverishing the surface layer of adequate protection and necessary nourishment.
