Black mask: do they really work?

Black mask is a purifying mask that promises to eliminate blackheads almost miraculously, but does it really work? Let's see together what the black mask is, how it is used and if it is really effective against blackheads and impurities.

Black mask, what it is and how to use it

Black mask is a purifying mask used to remove blackheads ; you can buy it online and often it is an imported product. In the market there are different formulations of black mask, with natural and non-natural ingredients.

The peculiarity of the black mask compared to other purifying masks is that, in contact with air, this mask forms a film that adheres to the skin: once removed, the mask will have "trapped" the impurities of the skin.

The operation of the black mask is very similar to that of the patches dedicated to the T area of the face, formulated to remove blackheads and impurities on the nose, chin and forehead.

To perform the black mask, you must first cleanse the skin of the face; after which it is advisable to carry out a facial sauna to dilate the pores of the skin; finally, you can spread the mask that looks like a fluid cream of black color.

The black mask should be applied to areas of the face that have blackheads, then nose, forehead and chin and possibly in the cheek area, avoiding the eye area. After applying a fairly thick layer of black mask, leave the mask on for 25-30 minutes.

The mask should be removed like a film, slowly lifting it off the skin; any residues can be eliminated with warm water. Depending on the subjective sensitivity, for some people the removal of the mask could be annoying or painful and the skin may have a slight redness that in any case will tend to disappear in a few minutes.

After removing the mask, the tonic can be applied and the usual moisturizing cream is applied to the skin.

If the mask has been applied correctly, a variable number of black dots will be visible on the surface of the film, once the mask is removed, as well as a fair amount of hair that will be removed along with the mask.

Black mask: do they really work?

The black mask, as we have seen, has a formulation such as to allow the removal of black points, which adhere to the surface of the mask and are removed with it.

The mechanism of action of this mask is therefore simple and completely similar to that of the anti-impurity patches, which are used for the same purpose.

However, the opinions on the effectiveness of the black mask are not in agreement and not all the people who have tried it have found the same result. This may depend on various factors such as the brand of the mask, therefore its formulation, but also on the method of application and removal of the black mask.

As we have seen, the black mask must be applied to clean skin, possibly after a treatment that allows pores to dilate; for a good result, other aspects are also important, such as the amount of mask and the precision with which the mask will adhere to the skin.

If applied correctly, the black mask can therefore be a valid aid to effectively eliminate blackheads : it is important, however, to find a well formulated product with quality ingredients.

Finally, remember not to apply the black mask on the skin that has lesions, irritations or inflammations, to avoid worsening the skin condition.
