Often you can run into a stone called Moonstone from Madagascar which is actually not an Adularia but a white Labradorite and to find out just look at the stone, place it on the palm of your hand and see how it reflects light as you move it : if it is Labradorite it will have marked blue reflections with a metallic appearance, furthermore the stone is characterized by marked internal cracks and remains a bit dull.

The real Moonstone (remember we are talking about the variety with blue reflections) is very clear or transparent, the glow it presents when the stone is moved is delicate, whitish with ethereal shades of blue, it is called the Pietra di Luna because the phonomene of refraction is very reminiscent of that of the moon which is reflected in water; the appearance is translucent and semi-transparent, has no internal cracks and you can lose yourself in its clarity.

As you will have understood if the blue reflection is too strong, immediately exclude that it is a true Adularia.

Second factor quite relevant is the price ... the Adularia with blue reflections is very valuable and expensive while the White Labradorite is a very cheap stone.

Always entrust yourself to sellers of crystals who love their stones: when you love crystals your heart is clear and no intent of deception will pass through their mind; whoever does this job with the heart carries a message through the crystals.
