Fruit: a precious friend for the body
The fruit I think is a fundamental ally for the well-being of the organism, it is made up of about 90% water we find, for the rest of simple sugars, monosaccharides (small amounts of proteins and fats are found). It is rich in beneficial properties; we find soluble fiber, important for intestinal functions, water-soluble B vitamins, carotenes, antioxidants, including vitamin A, C, indispensable substances that act as a shield to protect us from the harmful action of free radicals that they cause to our body ( metabolic waste products) and negatively affect health, we also find mineral salts necessary for the body in moments of sweating and physical effort; including potassium, an important mineral for electrolyte balance, for acid-base balance, for the transmission of nerve impulses and to counteract water retention; fruit is also low in sodium, useful for controlling cholesterol and those with blood pressure problems.
It also contains special substances: the nourishing bioflavonoids that strengthen the capillaries and the trophism of the microcirculation.
As a personal trainer, I believe that this food is not lacking in your diet due to the quantity of beneficial substances it provides, from vitamins to minerals and antioxidants.
Nutritionists often hear the phrase that they recommend 5 servings of fruit and vegetables a day and I fully agree.
The fruit passes quickly and absorbed directly into the small intestine, as its constituents the simple sugars are easily assimilable and digestible.
I advise you not to eat it immediately after meals, because when it is ingested after other substances that require a longer digestion (proteins, starches) it is trapped in the stomach and remains there for an excessively long time, causing unpleasant fermentative processes, abdominal bloating, cases of meteorism and even flatulence.
To address a healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle, I advise you not to forget to eat fruit, make it a snack that in mid-morning and mid-afternoon should not be missing from your diet, the advice once again to readers on the site where I work it is to consume it far from the main meals as it inhibits the digestion of proteins, causes abdominal swelling and ferments.
