Taking care of the body during pregnancy

During pregnancy, as we know, the body changes not a little, the skin and hair become more fragile, the balance is different. This is why it is important to take care of yourself, a little more than usual, let's see how.

Nutrition in pregnancy

The first thing to do for body care during pregnancy is to be careful about food. It is important for beauty, but above all for health. Eating well helps keep the skin more elastic; the hair in better shape; the weight within the limits; blood sugar and normal blood pressure . The diet of a pregnant woman must be particularly balanced and contain the right amount of proteins, vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates .

No extravagance; weight control is very important and the increase in body weight should not exceed 9/12 kilos . Putting too many pounds can contribute to the onset of gestational diabetes and high blood pressure. In addition, 9/12 pounds are lost quickly, after giving birth, especially if you decide to breastfeed. If you buy more weight, instead, it is much more difficult to get back into shape.

Skin care in pregnancy

The skin, during the fateful nine months, deserves special attention. Body care during pregnancy begins right there. The blemishes that appear most frequently are stretch marks, especially on the stomach, hips and breasts, and dark spots, particularly on the face.

To prevent stretch marks, a specific product should be used very consistently, preferably after a shower. There are plenty of creams, some even very expensive, but there is a very effective natural remedy: sweet almond oil . It should be spread on the breast, belly, hips and thighs once or twice a day. It can also be used on the rest of the body, as a moisturizer. It is absorbed less quickly than creams, so it is advisable to wait a few minutes before dressing, so as not to stain clothing.

As regards, instead, the prevention of dark spots on the skin of the face it is important to avoid tanning lamps and exposure to the sun (even in the mountains). For exposures even of short duration it is important to use a sunscreen with a protection factor of at least 50, while for everyday life a moisturizer with a protective factor should be used, and not only in summer.
