Stone therapy

History of hot stone massage

The therapeutic effects of stones on the human body have been known since ancient times by many peoples.

Stone therapy was in fact practiced by Sumerians, Egyptians, American Indians, Indian Indians, Japanese, Greeks and Romans in the famous thermae. Working with stones brings the earth element to the therapies to which it is placed side by side. the stones represent the bones of gaia, the great terrestrial mother, and convey her energy, the bearer of stability and solidity. this massage is now very fashionable, but often trivialized, and reduced to the simple placement of the stones or a little more.

Stones and hands

The real stone massage does not renounce the therapeutic power of the hands. Use the heated stones for their energy and muscle relaxant power (thanks to the heat), but then return to the areas treated also with the hands, to enhance and complete the effect.

The stone massage loosens the muscles of the shoulders, neck and back, drains fluid retention, improves circulation, smoothes the skin, improves metabolism, detoxifies the body, deeply relaxes the mind and body.

Not recommended due to capillary fragility, in this case you can use cold stones (white color) such as marble or quartz, cooled in ice to tone and stimulate the circulatory and muscular apparatus. treatments can also be done alternating hot stones with cold ones.
