Forest Day: Reflecting on Climate Change

The breath is due to them. The title of a song by Cristina Donà, An army of trees, comes to mind .

In fact, they give us life, they allow us to immerse ourselves, even if we walk near them or embrace them.

The branches within a magnificent sky, the roots that remind us of a solid way of being in the world. The trunk with the story inside. They remind us of what really matters, step by step.

They give us the measure of time "They protect us from useless thoughts" would say the Donà.

Every year the International Forestry Day has a theme and this year's is related to climate change .

Forests and people

This day is an opportunity to think about how essential the work that trees do quietly for us and for the entire ecosystem is. Similarly, we humans are all connected, as if we were communicating with underground roots.

Let us not forget that the birth of photosynthesis corresponds to the birth of life on planet Earth. Each tree produces on average 20-30 liters of oxygen per day and every man needs on average 300 liters of oxygen per day to lead a healthy life.

We think of the people in our lives whose closeness brings us back to this internal state of things, makes us feel like we are when everything flows and our lungs can open completely. And we always thank you for having the " people-trees" nearby, people who know their value and recognize it in others.
