Chamomile has always been used as a natural remedy to lighten and polish light hair, but it also has soothing, rebalancing and healing properties: let's see how to use chamomile for the beauty of hair.
Chamomile for the hair
We are used to associating it with blonde hair because of its lightening action, but chamomile also has astringent and rebalancing properties that make it suitable for oily hair, which is weighed down a few hours after shampooing.
Chamomile is also an excellent soothing and anti-inflammatory plant, useful in case of irritated skin, allergic reactions and dermatitis that affect the scalp .
To enjoy the benefits of chamomile you can use essential oil, hydrolate or infusion. The essential oil of chamomile can be added to the usual shampoo or to the pre and after shampoo masks for a cicatrizing, soothing and rebalancing action on the scalp .
Even the hydrolate can be used in making masks or shampoos for hair, replacing the aqueous phase; alternatively, chamomile hydrolate can be vaporized on the scalp and left on for about a quarter of an hour in case of dermatitis, allergies or psoriasis of the scalp.
The infusion of chamomile is instead used above all to lighten the hair and make it more shiny.
Let's see below how to prepare a lightening and polishing chamomile wrap.
Chamomile lightening wrap
To lighten blond or brown hair in a natural way and make it softer and more shiny, apply this wrap over the entire hair and leave it on for 20/30 minutes, keeping the hair wrapped in a towel. You can repeat the treatment every week.
