How to spend an Easter in a natural way



Easter of course!

Time and climate aside, let's celebrate even during these Easter days, celebrating the change of season in a completely natural and ecological way: here is how to paint eggs with the colors of nature, create colorful and funny hens, mess in the kitchen preparing a Ligurian Pasqualina cake and how to celebrate Easter simply at home, relaxing on the terrace or in the garden, with family, friends or loved ones.

Paint the eggs with the colors of nature

Ingredients

> 6 eggs;

> 1 red onion;

> 1 teaspoon of turmeric;

> 4 or 5 chard or spinach leaves;

> white vinegar

> old transparent tights;

> leaves of various types.

Preparation

Prepare three pots of equal size, in each saucepan put an ingredient : the whole onion, the green leaves of beets or spinach, the teaspoon of turmeric; in the meantime, apply the chosen leaflets to the shell of the eggs, then place them in the tights to prevent them from moving; put two eggs for each saucepan.

Add water to cover them and bring to a boil, letting them boil for at least ten minutes, so that you can safely consume them then. drain them, let them cool and remove the sock and leaves: they will remain in the negative beautiful white leaves, while the eggs will be colored red, green and yellow.

The eggs so painted can be hidden in the house, in the garden or on the terrace, depending on the weather.

In case you are lucky enough to have a picnic, take them with you for a game between adults and children before eating them.

Torta Pasqualina: a special recipe from Liguria

The Pasqualina Ligurian cake, specifically from Genoa, does not want spinach, but chard, marjoram and many layers of thin pastry: here is the special vegetarian recipe for Easter .

Ingredients for 4 people

> 800 gi of flour 0;

> 400 ml of water;

> 750 g of beets or beets;

> 300 g of ricotta;

> half an onion;

> 4 eggs;

> extra virgin olive oil;

> grated parmesan cheese;

> salt

> pepper

> marjoram to taste

Preparation

Mix and work flour, warm water and a tablespoon of oil ; divide the dough into 8 balls and leave to rest for an hour or so. Clean and chop the beets, fry them with the chopped onion, salt and pepper, cook covered for about 10 minutes.

Allow to cool and move them into a bowl, adding the ricotta, marjoram and parmesan, adding more salt and pepper. Spread 8 thin sheets, then overlap 4 layers in the round baking pan (20 cm) lined with baking paper, brushing them one by one with the oil, to form the base; then place the dough in the center, form 4 hollows and break an egg into each one.

Add the other 4 layers of pasta spread thinly, proceeding as before. Seal the cake and bake at 175 ° C for about 30-35 minutes. Serve warm.
