Founder of the Aurora Cultural Association and owner of the Podere Isabella, she spoke of the Association and the festival with the calm and care of those who have cultivated a project, of those who had a vision and conveyed the energies to make it concrete, manifested on the plan real.

Let's start with the name: Aurora 2012. Aurora, like dawn, rebirth. How come this idea?

We were looking for a name and one of us, one of the people who gave birth to the Aurora Cultural Association, the one who is perhaps the one who has a more intimate relationship with the invisible world and who has been working for years with flower therapy and shiatsu, at a at some point he came up with this name: aurora . At first glance it seemed simple, too simple, and abused, too.

But then this word so simple and powerful, this word that has in itself the same root as aurum, gold, has made its way on its own and we have adopted it. And, indeed, it transmits that sense of rebirth very well, that light at the end of the tunnel in which we have been for several years globally. It seemed nice to evoke an indication of hope using this word which also has an international resonance being very similar even in languages ​​other than Italian.

The whole program of the festival is pervaded by an attention to the feminine healing energy, the desire for a tribute to the evolutionary power of the feminine is breathed. Why?

Five years ago with four Milanese friends we found ourselves in harmony on the need to re-appoint people with the kind of energy that is beginning to emerge in the world today, but that has been put aside for too long. I refer to a pure care energy, a feminine healing energy and respect for the ancient traditions of both East and West, which in the Festival are presented within their context, according to a slightly different perspective. new age feeling.

The underlying attempt is to reconnect the world of spirituality with that of culture . And referring to culture in Italy, this attempt takes on the value of an even more ambitious work, as our country has had two dominant cultures in the last 50 years: on the one hand a certain Catholic vision that rejects the validity of other religions and by another is a leftist atheist culture that rejects spirituality as if it were the opium of the Marxist type. The spirituality that pertains to religious forms of other countries is that charge that has the power to reconnect people to nature, and to parts of themselves, according to a holistic view of life. I am thinking, for example, of Kashmir Shivaoism and shamanism.

Male masters also teach at the Podere Isabella, but these are men who have integrated the female part that lives there, which do not proceed by rational dogmas and contrasts.

On one of the days of the Aurora Festival, June 23, Eduardo Hess at the municipal library of Pienza, will illustrate the change taking place according to what can be interpreted and inferred from the Yi Jing. Hess has long experience in martial arts and Chinese metaphysics, has been studying and teaching Yi Jing and Feng Shui for years. Is the Podere Isabella designed and built according to the principles of Chinese geomantic?

Yes, at the time of the restructuring of the farm, choices were made according to Feng Shui. We have created small hills where there were not, painting rooms with specific colors with respect to the type of energy to be evoked, placed fountains in strategic points.

The Val d'Orcia, the Amiata are energetically interesting places. I am thinking of David Lazzaretti and the jurisdictional community, I am thinking of the Tibetan community of Merigar. Now also the festival, why was this chosen as the cradle of the event?

When it was bought, or about 20 years ago, the Podere Isabella, it was a very barren place, there was nothing, neither electricity nor water; my husband and I put it back in place with love and used it for years as a holiday home, we came here tired of city life and this valley regenerated us. Then from Rome I moved to Milan and reaching the Podere became increasingly difficult. Also difficult was the moment I was going through about ten years ago. In this intense moment of my life it coincided with the tantric initiation I received from the Dalai Lama, the Wheel of Time ( Kala chakra ), which synchronizes people with cosmic time.

I didn't know what to do with myself at the time, so in meditation I asked a question aimed at understanding how to solve my personal problems of the period. On those nights I had a dream. It was a square mandala with four gates, arranged on each cardinal point. The symbol evoked a center that I should have organized and maintained; the four people in the middle could not have been anything but myself, my husband and my two children. I wrote this dream on a booklet that I forgot in a restaurant in Austria. I received a phone call from a person who was in the same place and used the number to call me and kindly send the object back to me.

When he arrived at my house, after two weeks, I realized that I had written the dream right next to the page on which I had transcribed the question. This led me to think a lot about the potential place, before realizing that I actually already had it, and it was just our vacation home then. Another small abandoned building flanked the farm, I had that too restored. In the meantime there has been separation from my husband and from this activity I have taken courage, the possibility of connecting and finding ways to recycle and honor all that love that had circulated in this house.

The program of the Aurora 2012 festival
