Emergency's home in Milan, a space of peace and rights
An area of rights and culture open to the city at the premises of a former school of the tourist area of the Navigli area.
This is how the new Emergency hub in Milan looks like, a large, renewed cream-white house, in Via Santa Croce 19, which is both an interior space with many sections, but also an outdoor space with a garden.
A new reality in the city open to all those who wish to practice rights and promote a culture of peace .
In addition to musical events, meetings, theatrical performances, sustainable street food booths and 0 km or yoga classes, the location proposes to introduce the world through a permanent exhibition of signs and migrations, or photographic works but not only that tell nomad stories and travel.
Among the proposals there is also a particular " immersive experience " with 360-degree viewers inside the Iraqi refugee camp of Ashti.
Collateral events around Emergency
But be careful, the house moves : from its now official site, the collaborators, volunteers and Emergency protagonists also move to other spaces, occupying Piazza Sant'Eustorgio or Via Santa Croce to tell stories from distant countries to children, dance the biggest - thanks to DJ sets and live music - entertain gourmands with street food festivals or interest artists with street art and workshops.
More detailed information can be found on the events page.
Let us not forget the sporting events organized in the city of Milan by the Emergency group, such as the marathon in the park "10 to 10", the race scheduled for Saturday 21 October at the Parco Nord, carried out with the Coordination of the Alto Milanese.
