While the warm season makes itself felt and with it the countdown for the change of the time, there is something that insistently begins to make space in and around us: the desire for cleanliness, for perfume, for light!

With the lengthening of the days, the beautiful season and the sun, the light that peeps into the various rooms lets you see here and there dust and cobwebs, along with "winter objects" that you no longer want to have around.

In short, while lazy you stretch in the spring, Easter has arrived and you can not pretend nothing is happening: spring cleaning is knocking hard on the door! This is why it is important not to be caught unprepared. Clearly it is not the case to program in a maniacal or obsessive way, but it may be useful to guide your work with joy . Here they are.

Useful rules for spring cleaning

  • First of all, dedicate a whole day to spring cleaning, possibly, if you don't work, on Saturdays, so as not to have to chase the hours and rest or enjoy the cleaning on Sundays ;
  • Take a sheet of paper and make a brief schedule divided by macro-sectors: gardening, changing or arranging the cabinets, cleaning the kitchen, cleaning the bathroom, general large house dusting and curtains. Start with the things you like least, for example the very long but satisfying change of clothes, then move on to dust, then gardening (as long as there is still light), the bathroom and finally the kitchen with oven and refrigerator ;
  • Get all the gloves, sponges, cloths, detergents (or if you prefer "non-detergents") that you need in advance: the latter will be natural, ecological, there will also be baking soda, vinegar and sheets of newsprint to be recycled (perfect for glasses!), along with essential oils that taste fresh: mint, eucalyptus, thyme, lavender or citrus fruits. Don't forget a few cheerful and fast-paced music CDs ;
  • Get help from someone in your family or from a friend or neighbor, it will be even more fun, and then you will clearly return the favor.

Space clearing, cleaning up the house and ourselves

A typical spring cleaning day

    1. Wake up at 8 and a nice awakening with maxienergetic breakfast, music on mode.
    2. Take all the curtains and start the washes, setting an hour of time: remember to lay them down immediately so as to avoid ugly folds.
    3. Meanwhile, take up the cabinets. For convenience, clothes can be divided into three sectors : things that are good both in the cold and in the heat, winter clothes only, summer clothing only. The first ones will always be at hand in coffers or in the closet, while the others will have to be rotated with the season change. For ease of placement and practicality, making the change you can put in large special cardboard boxes, inside the bags that can be vacuumed so as to save space, there are all prices. Remember to make a big bag for clothes that you no longer put on to collect charities. Arm yourself with wooden balls on which you will put your favorite natural essence, so as to perfume drawers and cabinets, thus removing tissue-eating insects. If you want you can also prepare natural deodorants in various environments.
    4. The biggest is made, tents and closets, it's lunch time : allow yourself an hour of relaxation by cooking up a simple and energetic dish.
    5. We start again immediately in the early afternoon with a nice workout for the arms : via the cobwebs from the ceilings, wash shutters or shutters and glass; pass a rag to remove dust from ornaments, shelves, paintings, while you decide how to renew the environment for the summer. So it sucks dust everywhere; clearly you have taken steps to bring in the mats and various rugs and change the pillowcases of all the cushions, which are running in the washing machine.
    6. If it took you an hour and a half, now devote another hour by moving off and moving towards the garden : pruning or various landfills, moving the plants outside, a beautiful cascade of geraniums on the terrace.
    7. Back at home, devote yourself to tile cleaning, equipped with anti-limescale and an old toothbrush, to clean the bathroom, thinking that it is the penultimate work and that the next day you can dive into a perfumed bath, among incenses, oils and candles.
    8. Once the bath has been completed, the last but not least is the kitchen space: cleaning and defrosting the refrigerator and freezer well is a must. You have taken care to let all the foods finish inside, otherwise put them in a cooler bag with the gravel for the hours needed to defrost it. Clean everything from top to bottom, using vinegar, bicarbonate, tea tree oil or lemon essential oil and ecological detergents, removing ice from the freezer.

      You are already satisfied even by reading, right? After a nice relaxing shower, you are now ready to make yourself beautiful, go out and enjoy a good pizza!
