Mother tincture of propolis, uses



Known in phytotherapy and natural medicine, the mother tincture of propolis, thanks to substances such as flavonoids (galangin and pinocembrin), essential oils, mineral salts, pollen and vitamin C, has a natural healing, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant action, and is used for the treatment of various ailments, let's see them together.

Composed mainly of resinous parts - in particular trees such as firs, poplars and birches - which bees carefully choose to protect and disinfect their hive, mixed with wax, pollen and saliva, propolis (or propolis) is rich in nutrients precious, thus, the mother tincture of propolis that derives from it, is highly curative and beneficial.

External use of propolis mother tincture

  • Healing and disinfectant, in case of wounds or sores, put a few drops on a sterile gauze, dabbing the area to be treated. Clearly containing alcohol burns a little; nowadays the glycol solution (extract obtained by macerating propolis in water and glycerine) or the soft extract of propolis, more delicate on the mucous membranes, is used much more frequently for this purpose.
  • Antifungal, to eliminate superficial fungi, massaging the area to be treated two, three times a day, with a few drops of mother tincture on sterile gauze, glycolic solution or soft extract
  • For the treatment of candidiasis, making external lavages with a few drops dissolved in warm water
  • Disorders, inflammation and discomfort of the oral cavity: herpes, mouth ulcers, stomatitis, throat and pharyngeal disorders, pyorrhea, gingivitis, tongue lesions; also used for oral hygiene in general and to combat toothache . Make rinses or gargles morning and evening with 30 drops of mother tincture of propolis in warm water.

    Internal use of propolis mother tincture
