Reiju, the Reiki activation
To define Reiki activation, Japanese uses the term Rejiu, which contains both the meaning of giving and that of receiving spirituality. This spirituality consists in the connections with the Universal Energy, the Reiki. Activation therefore concerns the beginning of a skill, the awakening of a dormant and primordial inner consciousness.
To awaken this potential hidden in every living being, there is therefore need for a revival, which takes place during a ceremony, as a sort of initiation, in which a qualified Reiki master takes part.
Reiki activation differs based on levels and teachers .
Basically, in order to access the first Reiki level the practitioner must be able to receive four Reiki activations. These serve to release the energy channels and allow the energy to flow properly. These energetic activations are carried out little by little, leaving the subject the right time to assimilate them.
Usually, those who receive a Reiki activation attend a two-day seminar, receiving two activations a day.
How to receive Reiki activation
To receive Reiki activation, the student sits for a few minutes, with his eyes closed and his hands clasped. It is important to keep your feet in contact with the earth.
As in any self-respecting ritual, there are symbols, but for activation they are not fundamental. Instead the Master is fundamental .
It is the millenary knowledge that is expressed through him that activates the Energy. The Master opens the energy channels of the initiate and at the same time takes on his negative karma or part of it, thus allowing the student an evolutionary leap.
Initiation at the first Reiki level is divided into four activation ceremonies, aimed at purifying and enhancing the energy channel of the individual, putting him in a position to receive Reiki from the original source (Light, Universe, Spirit, God) and transmit it through the hands and the eyes. These ceremonies have a dimension of sacredness and secrecy, inasmuch as the ritual and the formulas are transmitted only orally, from Master to Master.
