
As many dieticians claim, there are many factors that lead to rejecting food or abusing it . Imbalances of this type can be caused by particular sensations, emotions, situations of daily life.
States of anxiety, sadness, a sense of emptiness, anger, fear or boredom should not be underestimated. Here are a couple of herbal teas to help you cope, one way or the other.
Anise tea
- Characteristics: From the particular shape similar to a star from which its name derives, originating from East Asia, it is cultivated in China, Philippines and Japan. Star anise is used in folk medicine for internal use due to its digestive, carminative, balsamic and galactological properties, among others.
- Recipe: put a teaspoon of star anise in a cup of hot water, leave to rest for 15 minutes, covered.
- Use: drink the herbal tea half an hour before meals for appetite, after meals to promote digestion.
- Properties : anti-swelling, stimulates the appetite and promotes the digestion of foods rich in fat; it has aperitif and digestive properties.
Composite linden tea
- Characteristics : linden, lemon balm, chamomile, but also other plants such as angelica and passion flower, rhodiola, agnocasto and orange blossom, are all herbs that help to calm anxiety states, as they are excellent mild and natural sedatives; they are also useful against insomnia, tachycardia, nervousness, headaches and anxiety states, which can cause hunger attacks.
- Recipe: pour a cup of boiling water over a mixture of 10 g obtained by mixing in equal parts linden flowers, lemon balm and chamomile. Let the infusion rest for 10 minutes before filtering it.
- Use: take 2 cups a day, better in mid-morning or mid-afternoon or when hunger attacks are felt.
- Properties: soothing, sedative, against insomnia.
