Hygienism is a philosophy of life, a simple application of laws observable in Nature. The theoretical assumptions on which hygiene is based are physiology, anatomy, biology and bionomy or ecology. According to this, hygienism asserts that everything is determined by natural laws, in which there is no place for the "fatalistic risk" of the microbe or virus. The only one that can cure us is our body, thanks to its intrinsic potential. Hygienism therefore turns to the cause, leaving aside the symptoms, which are also considered in their natural evolution.
The disease therefore has its meaning. Tends to a goal. The symptoms are an expression of the body's reaction to a progressive intoxication, determined by the incorrect way of life. The disease is thus thought of as the manifestation of the capacity that our body has of self-healing.
In other words, the body heals thanks to illness. In light of this, is it possible to speak of hygienist therapy?
Hygienist therapy
The term " therapy " includes the treatment of pathological or wound conditions and the methods used for healing and for the alienation of symptoms. Hippocrates included, among the therapeutic remedies available to the doctor, even the word. Today therapies are thought of as elaborate and long protocols, which see drugs as protagonists. This is not the case for hygienism.
Hygienist therapy does not include drugs or vaccinations. Any therapeutic intervention, whatever the medical direction it is inspired by (allopathy, homeopathy, phytotherapy, acupuncture) is almost always superfluous or harmful. Why? Because it interferes with the natural processes of our body. It would therefore be more correct to speak of " hygienist prevention ": care of nutrition, correct breathing, physical exercise, mental balance, care of the environment around him, care of life cycles.
And if, despite everything, we get sick? Well, then a hygienist therapy, if we want to call it that, suggests first of all that we put our body in a state of complete physiological rest so that it can use all the energies it possesses within the reparative processes, without any dispersion in psychophysical activities non-essential.
Next, we move on to fasting . When our digestive system is active, the excretory organs do not work to the maximum, failing to quickly remove toxins from the blood. Furthermore, fasting forces the body to feed on its own reserves, causing it to destroy and "digest" aged and degenerate tissues, detoxifying itself. This is always according to the hygienists.
