The diet against water retention

Baths and muds against water retention in the legs

A useful ingredient to combat water retention is present in all our handouts and is salt: salt -based baths help drain tissue and counter swelling of the lower limbs.

To benefit from this treatment, once a week immerse your legs in the tank where you have melted half a kilo of coarse salt : stay with your legs in water for 20/30 minutes.

From two to four times a month you can prepare clay and green tea-based mud, to be applied on the legs and hold for half an hour and then rinse with warm water.

With the following recipe you can prepare DIY mud to combat water retention .

Ingredients

> 10 tablespoons of green clay

> green tea

> a teaspoon of salt

> 10 drops of essential sweet orange oil

> 5 drops of rosemary essential oil

Preparation : prepare an infusion with a glass of water and half a teaspoon of dried green tea leaves. When the infusion is ready, add a teaspoon of salt. Place the green clay in a bowl and add the essential oils; add the green tea infusion to obtain a thick and homogeneous paste, working with a wooden spoon.

Apply to the legs and wrap them with food wrap.

Gel and massage oils to deflate the legs

To promote circulation and counteract water retention of the legs, once a day apply a massage with a massage with extracts of butcher's broom, red vine, ivy and birch, natural ingredients that improve circulation and help to drain excess fluids .

In the evening, instead, use a massage oil that contains specific essential oils against water retention, such as the essential oil of sweet orange, that of juniper and lemon.

Take a few minutes to massage, starting from the ankles and making circular movements from the bottom upwards; insist on areas where you feel swelling and notice the presence of bearings.

Massage oil can be prepared at home with the following recipe.

Ingredients

> 50 grams of sweet almond oil

> 30 drops of essential sweet orange oil

> 10 drops of essential lemon oil

> 10 drops of essential juniper oil

> 0.5 grams of vitamin E

Preparation : add the vitamin E to the almond oil and mix well, then transfer the vegetable oil into a dark glass bottle; add essential oils and shake slightly.

Store for no more than four months at room temperature.
