In this article we will see 3 natural make-up products for face and eyes to be prepared at home and to show off at New Year: colored lip balm, powder eye shadow and eye liner.
Colored lip balm for DIY
Let's see how to prepare a colored lip balm with a very simple recipe for everyone. In this recipe, shea butter and coconut oil have an emollient and protective function for the lips; mimosa wax is a vegetable wax that serves to give structure to the lip balm while the ocher has a coloring function and can be replaced with other powder dyes to obtain different colors suitable for the colors of one's face.
Ingredients
> 2 g of shea butter;
> 2 g of coconut oil;
> 1 g of mimosa wax;
> 5 g of powdered red ocher.
Preparation
Melt the mimosa wax with shea butter and coconut oil in a bain-marie, stirring occasionally to mix the ingredients and to fuse the wax. When the mixture is completely liquid, add the red ocher and mix well. Finally, pour the mixture into a giarrina and leave to cool at room temperature for 24 hours or in the refrigerator for about 6 hours.
You can keep the lip balm for three months, taking care not to expose it to direct sources of heat and light.

DIY eye liner
Below, a simple recipe to prepare a natural eye liner with your own hands, to intensify the look and bring out the eyes.
Ingredients
> 8 ml of distilled water;
> 1.5 g black oxide;
> 0.1 grams of guar gum;
> 4 drops of liquid extract of grapefruit seeds.
Preparation
Carefully mix the black oxide with the water in a clean glass; when all the oxide is completely dissolved, add the guar gum, which has a thickening function. Stir vigorously to avoid the formation of lumps and let the mixture rest until a gel has formed. Finally add the grapefruit seed extract, with a preservative action; stir and transfer to an eye-liner container with an applicator. The preparation is kept for a maximum of three months, away from direct sources of light and heat.
DIY powder eye shadow
The following recipe will allow you to prepare a natural powder eye shadow with a few ingredients and in a simple way to use on the eyelids or, why not, also as blush on the cheeks. You can customize the eyeshadow with your favorite mineral colors: for example you can use blue, green, purple, pink, red or brown oxides, or embellish the eyeshadow with sparkling micas that are found in different colors.
Ingredients
> 3.5 g of white clay;
> 1 g of powder coloring (ocher or mica);
> 0.5 g of rice starch;
> 0.2 g of rice oil.
Preparation
Mix the powdered ingredients in a mortar or coffee grinder until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Add the oil and mix again, always in a mortar or coffee grinder. Finally, transfer the eye shadow to a giarrina.
The eye shadow can be kept at room temperature for about six months away from sources of light and heat. At the time of use, apply on the eyelids with a brush.
