Water and the return to what is vital

I chose the image you see here in the piece because it gave serenity. If you look hard, this woman's face is smiling. It is intent on doing something, it is present at an action. And it's not that everything around her is clean, tidy and luxurious, indeed.

Could we summarize the essence of joy in this way ? Smile and presence combined together?

Being in things living them with a light and deep soul simultaneously?

I retrieved it from the One Drop Foundation images available on the net. The foundation deals with the distribution of water for drinking water for the populations of Honduras.

And let's start with water as a vital element, trying to imagine at least some of the variables that could be necessary to remain zen and be Zen at this moment in which everything seems to sink.

Being zen means being faithful and adherent to a center around which everything revolves, a whole understood as an all-encompassing purity of intent and meanings. Not surprisingly, the Japanese word Zen derives from the Chinese ch'an and from the Sanskrit dhyana, which means not only " meditation " but also "all together".

  • In front of those who complain and just have a loving look but a decisive filter. You can do nothing for those who love to cry, if not a small gesture to show something they have stopped seeing;
  • Positions, breaths, elements of meditation are more than fine, but on one condition: be gentle with yourself. If you feel like jumping and screaming, we don't see why you should stand still and contract further to seek a false spirituality. Voluntarily direct attention to what is useful to you ;
  • Try to remain vigilant. Advertisements, reminders, distractions should be taken for what they are. Be conscious as you make daily gestures so that they become spontaneous and natural, to be able to get a taste of the next meditative state;
  • Observe the thoughts that bother you . They are not an obstacle, but the "materials" that make up a precious key to evolve.
