  • Erythropoietic action, ie it produces red blood cells;
  • Haemocatatonistic action, ie the globular resistance of red blood cells decreases;
  • Blood reserve function ;
  • Metabolic and filter function .

Among the various diseases that can cause spleen pain are mononucleosis and toxoplasmosis, two diseases that have several common symptoms; in addition to splenomegaly and pain in the spleen, in fact, fever and enlarged lymph nodes are also recorded in both.
