For the new year, give yourself a more natural lifestyle

The Western lifestyle often imposes rhythms and habits that are very far from a natural lifestyle that is truly human-sized.

The beginning of a new year is always a good time to reflect on one's way of living and eventually correct what we don't like or seem unhealthy to us.

Living in a more natural way also means living in a healthier way .

Let's see how to do it, from nutrition, to scanning the rhythms of the day, to managing one's own (little) free time.

Resolutions for the new year? Eat natural, eat better

The first rule for natural living is natural eating, following the seasonality of food. Feeding on fruit and vegetables in the season means respecting the harmony between man and the environment .

According to the laws of nature, animals feed differently according to the seasons and this is important for the conservation of the species.

Man, thanks to technology, can bring to the table the foods he most desires, even without respecting the seasonality; however, adapting to the natural biological rhythms of man and the environment is certainly healthier for both parties.

By eating seasonal fruits and vegetables we will bring more nutrients, less pesticides and more variety to the table ; we will help the nature, the health of our body and also the economy of the place in which we live.

Good intentions for the new year: more natural rhythms

To follow a lifestyle that includes more natural rhythms is certainly a good purpose but very difficult to respect. Work often leads us to spend too many hours away from home and a thousand work and family commitments to run all day without stopping.

All this is not natural, and it probably seems to us that there is no solution. In reality, however, by looking more critically at one's own daily life, each of us can find at least one or two habits to change in order to live more naturally .

For example:

  • What time do you go to sleep ? Do you know that ideal sleep lasts seven hours?
  • How do you move to go to work? Is there not even a piece of road that you could walk on to guarantee your body the movement you need to feel good?
  • How do you manage meals ? Can't you really eat at a more regular rate?
  • Is there something in your day that you could better organize in order not to always have to run?

In the daily life of each of us there are certainly critical aspects, habits that are more difficult to change for professional or personal reasons.

Equally surely though, there are factors we can work on to get closer to a more natural rhythm and lifestyle .

Why not start this new year by trying to find out what aspects can be improved and act accordingly?

This new year move more

If we want to follow a more natural lifestyle we cannot fail to include more good in the New Year's resolutions. Our body naturally needs to move, to safeguard health.

Often the excuse we give, when our lifestyle is too sedentary, is the lack of time . Moving, doing physical activity does not necessarily mean going to the gym; we can move by taking the stairs instead of taking the elevator, walking more often on foot, looking for activities for (little) free time that involve movement.

It is often all a question of laziness and priority . In most cases it is not true that you do not have time to move, the truth is that you spend a lot of your free time in front of a screen (TV, PC, tablet ...) and this is not natural, it is not healthy. And then, for the new year, less presence on social networks and more movement .

For the new year, try also to live in a more ecological way
