DIY Greek Yogurt Recipe

Ingredients :

Preparation : put the milk in a pan and bring it to a boil, it must reach 80 ° C; remove from heat and leave to cool. Add two tablespoons of plain yogurt, without colorings or fruit, even better if with live milk enzymes, mix; pour the mixture into a hermetically sealed glass container, wrap it in a blanket or place it in the preheated oven at 40 ° C and then off.

Do not touch the container for at least six to ten hours (even overnight), the mixture is firming and the bacteria are doing their job

strain the thick white cream, taking a fine-mesh metal strainer, lined with gauze that will act as a further filter.

Allow the yogurt to drain in the fridge for two hours, so as to collect the tasty homemade Greek yogurt in the gauze once the time has elapsed.

It can be consumed in this way, fresh and genuine, with the addition of honey and fresh seasonal fruit for a healthy and nutritious snack, or use it for desserts and typical sauces such as tzatziki .
