Coconut oil for hair: 2 cosmetic recipes

Nourishing conditioner for dry hair

The nourishing hair balm with coconut oil is prepared in just a few minutes. After applying it, massaging the hair, especially the ends, wrap the hair in a towel and leave it on overnight. The next morning proceed with the shampoo.

Ingredients

> a teaspoon of coconut oil

> a teaspoon of Shea Butter

> a teaspoon of Aloe vera gel

Method

Mix the coconut oil, shea butter and aloe gel directly on the palm of your hand and immediately apply to the hair. To prepare larger quantities, increase the doses while maintaining the proportions.

Mask against coconut oil lice

Thanks to the content of the lauric acid, coconut oil seems to have an effect in the fight against head lice. For maximum results, repeat the treatment three times a week for two weeks.

This mask can be stored for about three months in a clean jar with a lid.

Ingredients

> 85 grams of coconut oil

> 15 grams of Neem oil

> 50 drops of lavender essential oil

Method

In a bowl, mix coconut oil with Neem oil, using a spatula to mix everything. Add the lavender essential oil, stir once and apply to the hair.

Leave on for at least thirty minutes, comb the hair with a fine-toothed comb and proceed with the shampoo.

Make the last rinse with a glass of white wine vinegar added to one liter of water.

Coconut oil for hair beauty

Coconut oil is a saturated oil that is white and solid at room temperature, normally odorless or lightly scented. It is obtained by cold pressing of the coconut pulp, fruit of the Cocos nucifera .

Rich in saturated fatty acids, vitamin A and vitamin E, coconut oil has an excellent affinity for the hair; furthermore, the lauric acid contained in coconut oil is transformed by our body into monolaurin, with antimicrobial properties.

Coconut oil nourishes and softens the hair fiber, making the hair shiny and strong : it is particularly indicated for curly hair that tends to frizz, for dry and brittle hair, without volume and which has split ends and is used also as a remedy for fighting lice.

Coconut oil is readily available in all health food stores and is affordable.
