Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes reddened and flaking areas: being an unsightly disorder, it can be embarrassing to show the skin in case of psoriasis .
But the sun is an excellent cure for this disease, so in July and August we must not give up the beach and the sea .
Psoriasis: overcoming the embarrassment of showing one's skin on the beach
Psoriasis causes more or less extensive red spots that dry out and flake off over time: lesions can affect the scalp, arms, legs, hands, feet, and even the back.
People with psoriasis know how embarrassing it can be to show their skin, especially if the disease involves large areas of the body. If psoriasis affects important portions of the body surface, discovering the skin on the beach can be problematic, partly because many people fear it is a contagious disease.
The sun, however, is the most effective remedy for treating it : one of the recommended treatments is to undergo UV-ray lamps, so don't absolutely give up going to the beach and exposing your skin on the beach for fear of the judgment of others. In addition to escaping the heat of July and August, the days on the beach will make the disease regress .
Overcome then the embarrassment and enjoy the sun of these months: you will see that after the first exposures to the solar rays, psoriasis will improve remarkably and consequently also the shame to show itself will become a memory.

Psoriasis: how to behave at the sea
As we have seen, the sun is a very effective remedy to cure psoriasis and in summer we can therefore improve the symptoms of the disease in a completely natural way, without having to resort to UV lamps. Giving up sunbathing on the beach due to the embarrassment caused by psoriasis would be a real shame.
On the beach remember to always apply a protective cream to avoid rashes and burns and, after sun exposure, use a moisturizing and emollient cream to prevent the skin from drying out.
If psoriasis is very extensive and affects particularly large areas of the body, perhaps you will feel obliged to give explanations to the looks of others: you are not required to do so, you have nothing contagious and you have no faults or responsibilities. So enjoy the sun and the sea, psoriasis will benefit and not just that.
