The natural cleaning of the oven

Many people probably put the cleaning of the oven between the toilet and gutter cleaning on the list of favorite household activities. Not a strictly playful activity, here.

Yet the oven, a very comfortable cooking tool, has the bad defect of caking itself and absorbing the fat of food, so that we have to keep it clean .

Of course, a corrosive product cleans the dirty oven from scale, but the caustic products are able to corrode human materials and tissues, with the consequent risk of burns, scars and permanent physical damage.

Cleaning the oven naturally and using eco-sustainable products is actually very simple. The first way? Lemon for example!

You can clean the oven with just two lemons and a little effort, just cut the lemons in half and squeeze the juice into the pan. Fill the dish with water and put it in the oven to cook at 250 degrees for about 30 minutes. If it is particularly dirty, you can leave a little more. Water and lemon juice will heat up and the vapors will help dissolve the dirt.

After the oven has cooled down, use scouring pads to clean off what is left of the dirt and remove the large blocks with a silicone spatula.

Or instead of lemon, use vinegar and baking soda ! Just spray vinegar all over the inside of the oven and a pinch of baking soda to then let the mixture bubble. Allow the mixture to rest for about 30 minutes or an hour, depending on how much dirt is still clinging to the oven walls. Vinegar is an excellent degreaser and helps a little in all house cleaning.

Finally, it is possible to wash the oven with sponges of clean water on the walls and on the bottom thus avoiding chemical products harmful to health.
