Let's find out.
What is Caia di Solenica
One of the originators of Solenica, one of the most promising start-ups in Europe, is Diva Tommei, an entrepreneur who has managed to combine technology and love for the environment.
Thanks to her and her work team, Caia is born, a ball-shaped heliostat that, by reflecting a small portion of sunlight, is able to illuminate the interiors.
This highly innovative and fascinating project is based on heliostatic technology and has its predecessor in the Lucy model : as explained to La Stampa.it, Caia's mirror is able to capture a tenth of a square meter of sunlight, lighting up to 47 square meters of stranza, as if 13 light bulbs of 60W were lit.
Also powered by solar energy, Caia is equipped with sensors that capture the light and, through a microprocessor, independently adjusts the angle that the mirror must have to illuminate the dark spots.
Where to buy Caia and how it works
Just place Caia on a terrace or balcony, directing it to the place or point where you want to redirect the light, then it will do everything for itself. Through an algorithm that measures the intensity of the light and evaluates the angle, it will come to position itself, finding the perfect point to illuminate. With the sun moving in the sky, even gaia will make micro adjustments to regulate itself at its best.
Caia can be purchased on the dedicated page of Indiegogo page, where the lucky crowdfunding started, but also on the Solenica.com website itself.
