To combat obesity and overweight it is necessary to change eating habits and improve one's physical activity. But to lose weight, there are also homeopathic remedies that help maintain motivation and determination at this stage. Let's find out what they are.
Symptoms and causes of obesity
Obesity and overweight are currently defined on the basis of a particular ratio that is obtained by dividing the body weight by the square of the height, and thus obtaining a numerical value that is called the body mass index.
As a guide, values of this ratio of less than 25 indicate a normal weight condition, between 25 and 30, indicate an overweight condition, while above 30 indicate a free condition of obesity, of which further and more serious subtypes are identified.
From a point of view of the causes, an essential obesity and a secondary one are distinguished, the latter consequent to other morbid states. Essential obesity is undoubtedly the most frequent, and in turn is distinguished in an early-onset form and in another typical adult form, and determined substantially by an imbalance between food caloric introduction, obviously in excess, and decreased consumption of energies.
Among the forms of secondary obesity most frequently encountered in medical practice, we recall that associated with hypothyroidism, ovarian micropolyystosis, type 2 diabetes mellitus, of which the excess of adipose tissue is actually also a contributing cause, and, finally, l repeated use of some drugs including cortisone and antidepressants.
There are also very rare pictures of hereditary obesity .
If the treatment of secondary obesity obviously involves the treatment of the underlying disease, the cornerstones of the essential one essentially include an appropriate nutritional re-education, combined with the exhortation to perform low intensity but prolonged physical activity, and in any case, for each session, never less than 30-40 minutes.
Over time these forms have tried to treat them also with drugs able to accelerate the metabolism, or to hinder the intake of fats or even to act, at the level of the CNS, on the sense of hunger: all, however, to different degrees, have often been burdened by even serious side effects which, in most cases, have made their maintenance over time very difficult and have ended up discouraging more and more from using it. However, it must be remembered that very serious forms of obesity require the use of surgery (gastric banding or removal of a part of the gastrointestinal tract).

Homeopathic remedies for weight loss
It should immediately be said that there are no homeopathic remedies that can make you lose weight without respecting those rules we have already mentioned, and which consist in a modification of eating habits and, at the same time, in a progressive recovery and intensification of physical activity .
But what makes the use of this type of treatment preferable for problems of overweight and obesity - conditions that are associated, to varying degrees, with a greater risk of cardiovascular disease - is the fact that the patient, although motivated to lose weight by health situations or, even, and more simply, aesthetics, however, fails to follow a more balanced, personalized diet for a long time, and even less to regularly perform that share of daily physical activity, or weekly, necessary to obtain a adequate energy expenditure.
This is because, especially in adulthood, direct feeding to certain types of food, decidedly more caloric than others, is actually the consequence not only of the desire to satisfy one's palate, but above all of the instinctive search for the organism of foods that they give a lot of energy in a short time, this to compensate for alterations of the metabolism which, for various reasons, is faced with the need to quickly dispose of excesses and toxins coming from eating disorders as well as physical inactivity.
And this too is often the consequence of a sort of entrapment of the vital energy of the person in functions that are over-stimulated precisely to avoid the organism that picture of general malaise of which symptoms such as easy fatigue, listlessness, the difficulty making decisions, pursuing a goal with determination, and maintaining concentration for a long time, as well as excessive irritability and bad mood from the moment you wake up.
It is these aspects that are often confused with the character of the person, but actually the consequence of a state of self-intoxication which, an adequate homeopathic therapy, will be able to resolve, allowing the organism to rapidly improve its overall state, and thus to be able to restart towards that virtuous circle - by weight and not only - which will be the essential cornerstones of good nutrition, the choice of foods and their quantities, and physical activity.
