What is lighting really?

Lighting and meditation

The term "meditation" appears absolutely for the first time in human history in the sacred Indian texts called Upanishad.

The corresponding word is dhyana and is used in relation to a development of presence on all levels. A state of silent inner reflection that tends to bring stillness to the mind would favor the experience of "vision", which can be thought of as a strong contact with oneself and therefore with the flow around us and with which we can resonate .

At an elevated mystical level enlightenment passes through a revelation of the omnipresent divinity . As if the sum entity permeated the human in a total way.

In the pure yogic tradition, enlightenment is the seventh of the eight stages indicated by Patanjali: in this state there is no one who meditates but the mind becomes and becomes pure meditation itself. In the daily management of our being we could insert meditation by visualizing it as the absence of thoughts, an awareness that makes us listen in simple without waiting, where thoughts do not follow one another giving space to the disorder that lives there and nourishing it. This ability can then be brought into everyday life in the form of listening skills and listening is a direct proportion of an individual's evolutionary level.

Now, there are so many types of meditation, as many as techniques to increase the flow of energy to your body. In fact, even the elderly farmer who lets himself go in the rocking chair after working the land could be in the maximum moment of meditation, although he does not follow a method that is patented or that he himself thinks of patenting. In fact, a lot depends on the phase of the personal journey in which one is. To encourage you (and make you save a few bills, given the gurus around) we remind you that the meditation of Buddha kyākyamuni and other essays like Osho did not refer to any religion or philosophy, rather it was part of a personal study, research, its own away at a certain point in meeting all the other ways and merging, in the understanding that nothing is really separate.

Have the light inside

We cannot expect to provide the tools to light up with a simple article, but there are "tips" that can help - in the simplest sense of all - to add light into one's life or at least not harbor a state of malaise in which one could stay for a fair amount of time. And, therefore, not to create a shadow in the lives of others.

Here are some tips to develop an inner discipline

Some individuals immersed in both new age and alternative therapies find themselves experiencing the ridiculous but human desire for enlightenment at all costs. It's like trying to control, a practice in which we all fall. Trying to control objects, people. Possession or control will always be something inevitably limited. And it creates conflict, a conflict that in the long run also crushes and enslaves the body, and hence numerous ailments such as cervical, joint pain, headache, back pain. The great beauty of existence lies in letting go of the power of control and discovering the power of love. Love is to be understood as harmony.

And here I feel I want to recall the words of a great yogi, writer and traveler who is Apa P. Pant : " Do not look further to check or counter this or that thing, but understand inwardly the beauty of the cloud, of a river, of a tree, a child, grass and wind; be inside all these creatures and you will no longer feel in contrast, struggling with the reality that surrounds you, but in harmony with the Truth - and this means being One " .

Practical exercise on two levels to light up a little

In the daily management of our being we could insert meditation by visualizing it as the absence of thoughts, an awareness that makes us listen in simple without waiting, where thoughts do not follow one another giving space to the disorder that lives there and nourishing it. This ability can then be brought into everyday life in the form of listening skills and listening is a direct proportion of an individual's evolutionary level.

So the simple exercise could be to wake up in the morning (a little earlier than expected, if the day is busy) and take the listening on more levels, just to give the mind a little more to do if you are just starting in the process of getting to know each other in this sense.

  • A first level could be in listening to the outside (look for a not too noisy place, if in nature even better, you will only have natural sounds) and you can stay in this quiet listening for five minutes that will seem like an infinity.
  • A second level is listening to how the breath moves in the body . How can I hear a movement? That is precisely the point. When a being puts himself on the path of peace for himself and for others, magical scenarios are opened such as those that make it possible to listen with the eyes, the vision with the heart, the touch with the heart. These are just words, experience must be made. And you start looking for patience with yourself. Great patience towards yourself.
