The whole body in a 3D radiograph

The diagnostic technique that "comes from space"

To put it more precisely, the 3D radiography diagnostic technique we are going to talk about is a technique that comes from the French Aerospace Society . Created by the Company's technicians, it has recently seen the birth of a device that allows the realization of three-dimensional x-rays of the whole body. The advantage? In reality there are two advantages, both of which are negligible:

  • Less amount of radiation
  • Greater precision

The application of 3D radiography in Italy

The application of this 3D technique will allow you to read your posture in a short time, studying it as a body with a specific volume. Since early February, Italy has also equipped itself with this instrumentation; the Humanitas clinic in Rozzano (Milan) was one of the first structures in which the 3D radiography technique arrived. The cutting-edge software allows Eos - this is the name of the device - to completely reconstruct the skeleton in 3D.

The curvatures of the spine are highlighted, the posture of the patients is shown in its entirety. In children it will be possible to take immediate measures to align the back that they will carry with them for their whole life; in adults and the elderly it will be possible to understand what to avoid and in which direction to go to mitigate the aggravation of consequences due to any incorrect habits. Posture affects life. Very very much. Reading it in detail is a possibility that technology opens up to us.

We can already imagine how much this can help physiotherapists, massophysiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and operators of holistic wellness disciplines linked to the movement, being the movement a sacred practice to accompany a conscious diet, included in a path of self-knowledge to be traversed.
