Applied kinesiology for children's disorders

To resort to a kinesiologist is not a habit still very widespread here in Italy also because kinesiology is an extremely particular practice and requires high preparation.

It is based on the principle that there is a perfect correspondence between muscles and organs (including energy meridians): if the organ and its system are not in "balance" (unbalanced by pathologies, chemical imbalances, psychosomatic imbalances) even its reference muscle it undergoes a hypotonic alteration by reflex.

That of kinesiology is apparently a simple, binary language, which is based on affirmative or negative answers, but which can lead to complex levels of research. The kinesiological test or muscle test is the means of investigation to verify the conditions of balance on a physical, chemical and emotional level.

Kinesiology and children

A criticism of kinesiology is the possibility of conditioning that can be exercised on those who undergo muscle testing. Well, children are the answer to this suspicion: it is difficult to influence their muscular reactivity. Furthermore, for them this kind of investigation can be a fun game that takes away the obstacle of fear, of reticence to investigate the possible problem.

A correct list of questions allows to discover food intolerances , intestinal infections, visual difficulties, secondary muscular hypotonia, consequently resulting in an organic or metabolic imbalance, easily and without trauma.

The important thing is to rely on an experienced and trained kinesiologist who knows how to listen to what the body says!

Kinesiology and problems of childhood

Often at an early age there are particular conditions, due to stress, fears, need for attention : some children suffer from enuresis, hyperactivity, difficulty sleeping or having peaceful sleep, emotional instability.

The applied kinesiology in cases like these can be a valid aid, without pharmacological treatments or heavy remedies, since it intervenes at the mental level, on a physical and chemical / hormonal level modulating the imbalances.

It starts from the verification of a psychomotor dysfunction, technically defined neurological disorganization. The wording can be frightening, in reality there can simply be misalignments at the jaw-cranio-sacral level that "disturb" some functions and generate particular effects.

For example, enuresis (peeing in the bed) can be a consequence of a trauma of the mandibular-cranio-sacral axis that may have caused a relaxation of the so-called pelvic diaphragm, so that also organs like the bladder are slightly lowered and subjected stresses in certain positions. It is possible to work on the realignment of the axis through some specific techniques (stimulation of some points by the therapist, such as 27R, stimulation of the reference meridians with the tap, for example) to strengthen the weak part and modify a condition.

The problems of childhood are manifold and their origins are often attributed to a psychological nature, but sometimes they are manifestations that arise from subtle imbalances of a purely physical nature to which importance is not attributed.

Just think of the vice of thumb sucking : we would all be ready to do petty psychology. In reality, a kinesiologist or an osteopath has a different reading of the phenomenon, linked to the movement of the cranial bones and to a form of unconscious compensation that the subject brings. In fact the thumb sucked is also generally pushed towards the palate and causes a deformation of the upper arch.

The professional figure of the kinesiologist and the osteopath should be included among those that we generally consult, since it can identify and correct misalignments and imbalances on the bone, muscular and nervous structure which are often not given importance.
