How to maintain a bright tan

Summer is over, but more and more people are choosing to spend their holidays in September, the sun is milder and the skin tans more slowly and gradually, without burn injuries.

When pigmentation occurs in this milder mode the advantage is also that it lasts longer, because the epidermis becomes more slowly peeling.

How can we keep this amber complexion even in the city at the dawn of autumn ?

Moisturize the skin

To maintain a luminous tan it is important to moisturize the skin, both from the inside and topically .

> Drinking a lot of water is the first step: since the morning drinking warm water helps clean the body of waste, helps the intestinal and kidney function and gives our skin a drink.

> We use topically moisturizing and elasticizing oils that soften the skin, deeply moisturize it and nourish it. Coconut oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil are the elective treatments for our tanned skin.

> Hyaluronic acid is now a remedy that is familiar to us, both as a supplement for internal use and as a component of moisturizers with a molecular weight modified to be absorbed by the deeper layers of the skin, stimulates the formation of collagen and keeps the skin elastic.

Clean the skin

Let us not forget that the shine of the skin is guaranteed by cleaning the epidermis and removing dead cells.

To this end it is important to carry out a delicate scrub every week to exfoliate the most superficial layers dehydrated by the sun. There are delicate products in gel based on cherry seeds that also stimulate microcirculation, tissue oxygenation and regeneration.

Feed the skin

Nutrition helps us to maintain a luminous tan . Carotenoids, vitamin A, vitamin E, lycopene are the principles we need to introject to lighten our skin and help keep the color of the sun longer.

Go ahead for tomatoes, carrots, fresh vegetables, but also supplements based on wheat germ oil, beta-carotene, which stimulate melanin, nourish the skin on a cellular level and carry out an antioxidant action.

To avoid

To slow down the scaling and not have a dull skin we try to wash ourselves with a warm shower, we avoid the bathroom with too hot water .

Aggressive soaps and bubble baths filled with surfactants should in any case be banned from our homes, preferring natural and delicate products.

Waxing for epilation is unfortunately not a friend of tanning and for a while we have to think of an alternative, because hot waxing takes away the most superficial layer of the skin.

UV lamps so dear to those who want to look tanned all year round, in fact they are one of the causes of photo aging and the skin is dull and tired.
