Cystitis in the hot season: the remedies

Cystitis: symptoms and causes

Cystitis is an inflammation of bacterial origin that affects the urinary tract.

The symptoms are:

> Frequent stimulation to urination, even without fluid intake, and therefore with poor urine volume;

> pain during urination and sometimes even during sexual intercourse;

> presence of blood or pus in the urine;

> pain in the lumbar and pubic area ;

In the case of acute cystitis, when the preceding symptoms have been ignored for a long time, chills and fever may also occur.

The causes are attributable to the presence of bacteria, following intestinal imbalances and poor hygiene.

During the hot season, cystitis becomes even more annoying : in fact, bacteria find fertile ground for their proliferation in hot and humid environments.

It is therefore easy to guess how covering clothes, ever-increasing temperatures, increased transpiration, worsen the conditions of those who already suffer from cystitis.

Cystitis and hot: natural remedies

Cystitis develops because it finds a favorable soil, both at an intestinal and environmental level.

The natural remedies for cystitis during the warm season start from the care of the intestinal flora, to the attenuation of the symptoms:

> Avoid tight-fitting clothing that warms the pubic area: it is useful to use linens and clothes made of natural fibers, avoid as much as possible the use of softeners, which remain in the tissues, of foamy perfumes and detergents and of the unhealthy INCI ;

> take care of the intestinal flora : treating the diet and re-establishing a balanced intestinal flora allows the elimination of those bacteria from the genital area and that are often responsible for the onset of cystitis;

> do external washing and bidets with water and ventilated green clay : clay is a natural antiseptic. Just melt a spoonful of clay in the water of the bidet, wash yourself, and then rinse thoroughly with running water;

> consume blueberries and bearberry : bearberry is a panacea for cystitis. The properties of arbutin, active ingredient of bearberry, have an antibacterial and diuretic action: this allows to disinfect the mucosa of the bladder internally and to perform a "washing" of the urinary tract;

> essential oils : the ideal and effective use of essential oils to alleviate the symptoms of cystitis involves dissolving them in the water of the hip bath . The hip bath is the only wash in the genital area, and is simply performed in the bidet, in the bathtub, or in a basin. 3 drops of the following essential oils are used: lavender, eucalyptus and cinnamon.

The water must be warm, not cold but not even warm. Stay with the genitals in the water for 15 minutes, taking care not to wet the abdomen and keep the rest of the body covered and warm. Then the area is rinsed and gently dried.

By acting internally, there are many natural and herbal remedies that can be used:

> grapefruit seeds;

> mallow;

> cranberry;

> echinacea;

> nettle;

> bearberry.
