Protect your lips with DIY balm
The lip balm is an excellent ally against dry, dehydrated and peeling lips, conditions that often occur during the winter, especially on colder days.
Low temperatures and cold air are in fact the cause of greater dehydration of the skin and lips, which consequently appear to be not very hydrated, dry and in many cases even get to crack.
To keep the skin hydrated and have soft lips without skin, we can use lip balm, a simple but very effective product for the beauty of the lips.
In addition to choosing among the many products on the market, we can prepare lip balm at home with simple and natural ingredients: let's see how.

Homemade lip balm: the recipe
Preparing the lip balm at home is really very simple, so much so that it is often one of the first do-it-yourself cosmetics to start when approaching the self-production of beauty products.
To make the lip balm you need few ingredients and the process is quick and affordable for everyone.
Ingredients for a stick
> 3 grams of shea butter
> 3 grams of beeswax or mimosa wax
> 3 grams of castor oil
> 1 drop of mandarin essential oil
Preparation : weigh the shea butter, beeswax or mimosa wax and castor oil with a precision balance, pouring them into a small heat-resistant glass (or a beaker). Then heat in a bain-marie for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
When all the wax has melted, remove from the bain-marie, add the essential oil and pour into a clean, dry stick . Since the wax (both bee's and mimosa's) tends to solidify quickly, you must be quick enough to transfer the product from the glass to the container.
To facilitate the operation, recover the product better and not risk toppling it, instead of pouring the mixture directly into the stick you can take it with a syringe without a needle and pour it into the stick from the syringe. Alternatively, you can choose a giarrina as a container for lip balm instead of a stick .
Once the conditioner has been transferred into the container, let it cool to room temperature for 24 hours before using it .
Label your preparation, indicating the ingredients and the date of manufacture and keep the product for three months without exposing it to heat.
