Facial gymnastics for the upper part of the face

The muscles of the upper part of the face, called the upper third, consist of the muscles of the forehead and the eyes .

Exercising these muscles with facial gymnastics allows you to stretch your forehead and temples, the area between the eyebrows and around the eyes, as well as deflate the eyelids and counteract the fall of the upper eyelid .

The exercises of this muscular segment are performed in front of the mirror, exercising the individual muscles as indicated, and also using the fingertips to stretch the folds of the skin that will inevitably come to form.

Facial gymnastics for the forehead

This exercise makes the part between the eyebrow arches more tense, relaxing it and dissolving any tension.

This sequence of 3 exercises allows you to firm the muscles around the eyes, deflating and supporting the eyelids, and attenuating the wrinkles around the eyes and the so-called "crow's feet".

  1. In front of the mirror, the eyelids open and close a dozen times, gradually increasing the pressure of the eyelids on each other, trying not to squeeze the area around the eyes.
  2. Then the eyelids open wide, moving the muscles as if one wanted to touch the eyebrows with the eyelashes. If done correctly you will see the white of the upper part of the eye. Open the eyelids as wide as possible and hold the position for about 20 seconds, increasing the time from time to time.
  3. Finally relax the upper eyelid and try to lift the lower one as much as possible.

Also in this exercise it is necessary to avoid squinting and forming expression marks on the outer side of the eyes; if you don't succeed, use the fingertips of your hands to keep the part taut and avoid the formation of marks.

Hold the position like the previous one.

At the end of the exercises, close and relax your eyes.

Facial gymnastics for temples and "crow's feet"

With this exercise of facial gymnastics the part of the muscles is tightened and stretched to the outer corner of the eye, where expression lines and crow's feet are most commonly formed.
