Emergency flower remedies

In flower therapy there are several so-called emergency restorations, that is useful in moments of crisis, temporary situations in which we cannot or there is no time to think about a personalized mixture, but an urgent intervention is needed to manage the emotional situation; for example, if I witness an accident, or a loved one is involved or involved, I have to go to the dentist, I am worried about waiting for the result of an examination (medical or otherwise) or other situations in which I I feel an emergency state alive.

These remedies are taken directly from the stock bottle (ie from the bottle sold ready for use) several times even after a few minutes, until the emergency emotional situation is resolved or we feel able to manage it.

Rock Rose and the Rescue Remedy

In the Bach flower repertoire, the first emergency remedy was Rock Rose, as Dr Bach himself mentions in his writings: " It is a remedy for cases in which there seems to be no hope at all. In cases of accidents, of sudden illnesses, when the patient is in terror, or his condition is so serious as to cause great fear to those close to him.If the subject is unconscious he can moisten his lips with the remedy. it is necessary to add to this other remedies, such as Clematis, or if the person is very tormented, Agrimony and so on. (...) This is an emergency remedy. For cases of urgency and danger. things are desperate, in all cases of life-threatening, when the patient is terrified or panicked, when all hope is lost, when the mind is in danger, suicide, madness or a crisis is at risk nervous, for fear of death or a d and hopeless expression ".

The first formulation of the Rescue Remedy, at the beginning of 1934, as it is told in the Bach biography, was composed of " 3 remedies to be used in times of emergency in the event of an accident, shock, states of unconsciousness, intense pain and panic; he called it Rescue Remedy and always took it with him. The mixture was composed of Rock Rose, Clematis and Impatiens. Rock Rose for the emergency, the terror, the panic and the danger; Clematis for the state of unconsciousness, the fainting, the coma; Impatiens for mental tension that causes physical contraction and pain ".

Nora Week continues this way in the biography: "Later, Bach would add two more remedies to this mixture, but the association of these three proved irreplaceable when there were no other possibilities. (...) A man who had remained for 5 hours tied to the mast of a barge shipwrecked during a tremendous storm, he was brought ashore by a lifeboat, he was delirious and drooling, he was desperate, almost frozen, and in danger of his life. repeatedly the lips with Rescue Remedy and, before being undressed and wrapped in warm blankets, the man could already sit up, his mind was clear and he asked for a cigarette, he was transported to the hospital and after a few days of rest he was completely got back from that terrifying experience ".

The Rescue we know today is composed of 5 flowers: Star of Bethlehem for shock, trauma, mourning; Rock Rose for panic, terror, intense sudden fear; Impatiens for agitation, Cherry Plum for those who fear losing or have lost control of their actions or emotions or the control of the situation; Clematis for the sensation of losing consciousness, of not being present or of a sudden void-mindlessness, of fainting.

When to use Rescue Remedy

Being a psycho-physical harmonizer, it stimulates and accelerates the repair and healing processes of the organism, therefore it is used for moments of crisis, emergencies, traumatic experiences that cause fear, anxiety, panic, shock; before and after every situation that represents a particular difficulty that causes anxiety. Some examples: emotional stress or shock caused by external events such as bad news, a scare, an accident, domestic accidents, deaths, hospitalizations.

In emotional stressful situations or inner difficulties, for example before or after minor operations, surgical operations or chemotherapy, during painful exams, tests or medications, pending the results of the examinations, before or after the birth or a session at the dentist, a plane trip that creates panic, a job interview, an exam. For those working in a stressful environment: in the hospital, emergency room, office, home nurses, psychologists, kindergartens and schools. While waiting for the medical intervention, Rescue helps the patient but also the relatives or those who assist him at that time. Waiting for doctor or ambulance. Even on animals and plants (during transplants, after decanting, after a fall) it is used with excellent results.

It is recommended to use the Rescue Remedy and in general all composite emergency remedies only in case of real emergency and not to prolong the intake for too long. If we need to hire flowers, let us advise those most suited to our needs or learn about and use Bach Flowers for us and our family.

How to use

4 drops directly from the dropper of the bottle sold in the pharmacy on the tongue, repeatable at short intervals (a few minutes), then thinning the assumptions until disappearance or attenuation of symptoms. If I can't count the drops exactly at that critical moment, it's okay, I'll take a pipette from the bottle and swallow the liquid.

Or 4 drops in a glass of water or other beverage (juice, tea), to be drunk in small sips every few minutes until improvement has taken place.

In case of unconsciousness of the person or if he could not swallow, the Rescue is used externally by placing a few drops on the lips, temples, wrists and / or behind the ears and repeating the application if necessary. THE

The Rescue of Dr. Orozco

The dr. Ricardo Orozco, a physician, flower-therapist and contemporary Spanish scholar, proposes some "improvements" of the Rescue Remedy, formulas studied and widely tested starting from the classic Rescue Remedy.

California flowers

For Richard Kats and Patricia Kaminski, founders of the FES (Flower Essence Society), the scholars and researchers of the California Flowers repertoire the Rescue Remedy remained unchanged, and they also use it in the original formulation of Bach. Among the Flourish Formulas, compounds ready to use, we can refer to two interesting formulas, associated with Rescue, among them or to be used individually: Fear Less and Post Trauma Stabilizer.

Fear Less - For any known condition that causes fear or anxiety, such as public speaking or traveling, in the event of a natural disaster or personal misfortune. Work well in combination with Rescue Remedy. To treat the stress left by these ongoing episodes or symptoms, use the Post Trauma Stabilizer formula. Fear Less is also useful for those with a constitutional tendency towards anxiety, fear, panic, agitation, disturbed sleep accompanied by anxiety.

It is also an excellent remedy for children who are confronted with new school and social trials, also recommended for animals that are prone to fear or that show discomfort in certain situations. The flowers in the formula calm in situations of panic or anxiety triggered by social or environmental problems. They bring strength, courage and awareness, giving the ability to take risks and learn from difficult situations, favoring centering in situations of confusion and concern. Composed of Red Clover, Mountain Pride, California Valerian, Oregon Grape, Mimulus, Rock Rose, Green Rose, and essential oils of bergamot, cistus, lavender, ylang ylang.

Post Trauma Stabilizer - For a loss or disruption of any kind that causes confusion, loss, numbness or shock such as amputations, debilitating injuries, loss or disintegration of one's home (home or family), community or environment. For relief work in areas of natural disaster or war, for prolonged levels of shock and trauma and to help victims rebuild and move towards renewal; beneficial remedy for humans and animals.

Indicated following surgical operations and during the physical rehabilitation course. For bereavement and loss of a loved one or your pet, if symptoms of shock or psychic dissociation persist (can be used alternating with Grief Relief). For violent and recurrent dreams, as well as post-traumatic memories that continue to interfere even after other forms of therapy have led to physical stabilization. Composed of the individual flower essences of Arnica, Bleeding Hearth, Echinacea, Galssy Huacinth, Green Cross Gentian, Fireweed, and Rescue Remedy, with essential oils of lavender, hyssop, yarrow.

Flourish formulas are sprays for immediate and direct applications. The standard oral dosage is one or two sprays in the mouth, four times a day in the interval between meals or before these. In emergency situations or in episodes of intense criticality, increase the dosage frequency to stabilize the condition. The two most important moments to be used are on awakening and just before falling asleep. Local application is also possible by spraying directly or adding the Formula to a cream (one or two sprays every 30 grams of cream) and mixing with a wooden stick both clockwise and counterclockwise. The nebulization around the body, head and surrounding space is just as effective even for animals and children, being careful to close the eyes and remove the glasses.

Australian Flowers: Bush flowers and Living Essences

In the Bush's Australian repertoire we find the EMERGENCY compound that has a calming effect on the mind, on the body and on emotions even during serious crises. This combination is especially suitable for experiences of fear, panic, severe mental and physical stress, nervous tension and pain.

It should often be taken when a person is in a situation of great tension or when an unexpected shock or trauma is creating severe stress. A couple of sprays for the spray version, a little cream if I use this version.

The other repertoire of Australian flower remedies (Living Essences), born at the beginning of the 80s thanks to the spouses Vasudeva and Kandabii Barnao, has a different emergency remedy, Crisis Relief. Useful in cases of shock and trauma.

This combination is also used for moments of crisis, when one feels unable to cope with those sudden events that negatively impact one's vital force and nervous system. In this emergency remedy there are 5 flowers, 3 of which are orchids: DONKEY ORCHID (Diuris magnifica) which encourages life and gives priority to positivity. Teach to see the beauty of being and take responsibility for a better future.

RED BEAK ORCHID (Lypercanthos nigricans) is the essence that renews the inspiration and energy needed to face all aspects of life with creativity and enthusiasm. It also helps to resolve conflicts arising from the clash between desires and duties, facing life in its unity, rather than in its antagonistic components.

WHITE SPIDER ORCHID (Caladenia Patersonii) protects the sensitivity to pain and suffering of others, therefore useful for example for those who look after other people and go through a crisis.

COWKICKS (Stylidium schoenoides) helps to recover from a traumatic event, to recompose the physical body and the etheric body by returning their energy after a traumatic experience. It teaches us to integrate these experiences, helping to get up and get back on the road with renewed vigor.

SOUTHERN CROSS (Xanthosia rotundifolia) teaches to develop the gift of empathy and to have a perspective of wisdom that contemplates all the eventualities in front of which one can find oneself, suspending prejudices.

The advice is a drop under lingual every 20 minutes or as needed, as long as necessary.

Essences of Alaska

In this repertoire the emergency remedy is called SOUL SUPPORT and is composed of 6 flowers, an environmental essence (a water of a particular source) and 2 different elixirs of the gems, taken from the different kits of which the repertoire of the 'Alaska. in this case the trauma is taken from different points of view; is a formula for all states of emergency, as already indicated for the Rescue Remedy.

COTTON GRASS (kit 1) (Eriophorum sc.) Shock and trauma due to an accident or injury; inability to shift one's perspective from one's pain or problem to the progress of the healing process. CATTAIL POLLEN (kit 3) (Typha latifolia) for the courage to follow their own path, to defend themselves and take care of themselves when they encounter obstacles or challenges on the path they have chosen.

CHALICE WELL (environmental essence) This is an essence from a source whose water was the spiritual and fundamental nourishment for those who lived around Glastonbury, especially at the time of the Lady of the Lake, the priestess of the ancient Order of the Rose. It helps connect with the deeply personal and eternal support that is constantly available in the angelic realms, the elements, the plants and minerals.

RUBY (elixir gems) works on the lower emotional centers to awaken love and rebalance the energies in the chakras and lower body organs.

MALACHITE (elixir gems) helps to align and harmonize the 4 levels: emotional, mental and spiritual, keeping us united in all circumstances.

The standard dosage is 4 drops 4 times a day, but the dosage may vary according to personal needs. You can use them directly from the bottle you buy (stock bottle), or in dilution in a glass of water or fruit juice and drink at regular intervals during the day.

External use is possible as for all flower essences. Mix in massage oil, creams, lotions or bath water. They can be used with a spray and vaporized in the environment.

In any case, whatever emergency remedy you choose to use, the energetic re-balancing of emotions and the 'state of mind', of the state of the soul, is of primary importance to regain physical balance and be able to better face critical moments where we can find ourselves in life.
