Living the future: European Ecovillage Conference

European Ecovillage Conference, the conference of ecovillages

It will be held from 16 to 20 July, in Sweden, in the Ängsbacka community of which, as the homonymous site defines it, is known as "among the most important meeting points in Scandinavia for those who wish to live a more conscious life, to live from the heart and take care of the planet ”.

The Global Ecovillage Network of Europe (GEN) announces these five days dedicated to Ecovillages and the philosophy of living the future today: between solidarity, resilience and hope. These three are in fact the main themes around which the community of Ecovillages gathers on the dedicated day and in its 21st edition.

The motivation that leverages everything is always to replace old and obsolete life models, with innovative ideas and projects that are in harmony with nature and the environment that surround man.

What is the European Ecovillage Conference

It is a meeting open to everyone, from the curious to the experts, the protagonists of change, activists, experts, members of international communities, who want to confront and carry forward ideas and proactive actions, which nourish this desire for growth and change.

In practice there will be a series of workshops , discussions , parallel sessions , but also moments of art , music , dances , relaxation - complete with a sauna and time to share with the "tribe" - films and exhibitions . The program must still be updated, but to follow it closely you can check this page of the site itself; in a very general way, this is how the preliminary programming looks like.

And finally here is the video that illustrates and advertises the European Conference dedicated to Ecovillage, with lots of indications on how to book and buy your ticket, entry prices and any discounts.

Yes because the whole standard package for the five days, complete with lectures, meals included, points for camping costs 560 euros. The figure is indicative because you can also pay around 100 euros more or less depending on your budget.

In fact, in Italy community formulas such as ecovillages are increasingly growing, from Umbria to Tuscany, passing through Emilia, Liguria and Piedmont. The reasons that lead to the recovery of abandoned villages or the search for possible new life forms are the most varied.

For example, we have closely followed the program of the Island of Capra Unica, a project of peace and the search for possible happiness.
