Creative idleness, tips for doing nothing

The mind struggles to empty itself and the cell phone seems to ring even when in reality no one searches, calls or chases us. As an empty space arrives we think we have to fill it. It is not so.

Inner time determines everything, but knowing how to cultivate it is art and sacrifice, it requires an initial effort that is then repaid in terms of creativity, wisdom, knowledge of oneself.

But in what sense does doing anything require effort ? Is this not a contradiction in terms? The fact is that we are subjected to a series of continuous stimuli that do not allow the heart to live in the serenity of the moment.

Because the present brings a lot, regardless of whether one decides to attack negative or positive values, that puts them something that we let act in us but that we don't need.

It is therefore a matter of creating a void, but with a certain care and patience. Idleness refers to that interpretation of solitude understood as an occasion for contemplation . Lazing means being free .

Idleness is that "sacred garden" in which wonderful flowers can grow. Here are some rules for not polluting it.

Cultivating creative idleness: that's how

  • Share less. This anxiety to say, do, share, show is all illusory. Stay inside yourself, let go of the impulse to send the picture, the voice message, the message. Of course, for those who live in long-distance relationships, it is more complex, but even long-distance relationships suffer if sharing is always virtual; better to take care of your own backyard and then share your presence. The enrichment will be double. The sound of silence is on your side, cultivate it.
  • Make order. What does idleness have to do with cleaning spaces? The two things are closely related. If I want to paint but my house is a disaster, it will certainly not be better after I have smeared canvases and soiled brushes. On the other hand, it is the feeling of one who has order inside and out, who dedicates himself to an activity that regenerates the mind for a given time and then returns to a clean place, ready to welcome the daily gestures again. Approaching Feng Shui for the home is a good way to get in touch with the hygiene of spaces as a further evolutionary stage. Maintaining good personal hygiene is also important.
  • Food and sexual activity should not be included in idleness . Both things are of great importance and require further commitment, predisposition to transformation and exchange. Idleness means something in which energies converge in a complete way with results of generalized relaxation and usable in the long term by those who practice it with awareness. The others have nothing to do with the meals. Yes, it has to do with nourishment, an entirely personal nourishment. What is certain is that eating well and making love as it should also improves the creative impulse.
  • Move the limit bar farther . We do not accept the "I don't know how to do it" and the even more dangerous "I don't think I can do it". Be fearless, be very strong. And make friends gradually.
  • Do not cook. Even if you associate a momentary sensation of pleasure and want to move your fingers between the stoves, remember that this is no longer idle. Idleness is pure idleness. After you have enjoyed it in a full and absolute sense, then yes, you can prepare yourself a nice delicacy.
  • Come back to play. Even uncomplicated things, even recovered nursery rhymes, unexpected songs, games with hands and feet, beats to beat on the body, grimaces to do with the face. Be prepared to admit ridicule and self-mockery as essential ingredients of idleness.

Creative idleness is a great way to get in touch with the energy of the body, think and review the way we perceive and listen.
