Natural peeling, here's how to do it

There are two commonly used ingredients, perfect as natural exfoliants : salt and sugar . To obtain a homemade peeling suitable for body skin, one of these two natural exfoliants can be mixed with an oil, for example sweet almond oil, which also has elastic properties, with yogurt, or even honey.

Here is an example of how you can prepare a natural body peel .

How to do a body scrub

In a bowl, place three tablespoons of brown sugar and two tablespoons of sweet almond oil. Slide into the shower (or in the tub) and rub the mixture thus obtained over the whole body, insisting on the roughest areas, for example elbows and knees. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and then proceed with the shower (or bath). Seen how simple?

The peeling should be done only periodically and not with every shower.

An even faster way to exfoliate the skin is to use a horsehair glove in the shower. The one with the horsehair glove is a very fast scrub, which also helps to solve the problem of subcutaneous hair .

The use of the horsehair glove is then ideal in the spring, when you want to prepare the skin for sunbathing; we must not exaggerate, however, as with all exfoliating treatments.

How to do a facial peeling

The skin of the face is very delicate, especially around the eyes and around the lips. Any exfoliating product, even if natural, should never be used on contours of the eyes and around the lips, due to the risk of causing damage to the skin. We should not forget the neck, often overlooked, which needs attention at least as much as the face. Ideally, the peeling should be done after a thorough facial cleansing.

Those who have delicate and dry skin can do a peeling using a tablespoon of almond flour, mixed with a few drops of sweet almond oil. The mixture should be rubbed on the face and neck, avoiding the most sensitive areas, and then rinsed with warm water.

Those with oily and impure or mixed skin can use fine salt or sugar as an exfoliant and add a few drops of hazelnut oil, which has sebum-balancing and purifying properties. The procedure is always the same: to pass the mixture on the skin of the face and neck, avoiding the eye contour and the lip contour and rinsing with warm water.

For normal skin, you can instead prepare a peeling by mixing two tablespoons of fine salt, or refined sugar, with a teaspoon of honey.
