An ancient therapeutic form and also one of the most natural gestures that each of us carries out every day. In fact, it is instinctive to rub a painful shoulder. In practice, massotherapy is a set of different maneuvers performed on the body to soothe muscle or joint pain, release tension and muscle fatigue, to tone the volume of some tissues but also to improve the psychic well-being of the subject. But it is not limited only to the physical. Massotherapy allows benefits for the entire body such as, for example, improvements in blood and lymphatic circulation.

Types of massage therapy

The first testimonies concerning the therapeutic massage date back to the times of classical Greece: it seems that Hippocrates practiced it to combat disorders related to old age. Therapeutic massage then spread to the military and sports environment. Today there are 4 main currents that originate from this technique: Swedish method, German method, French method and Spanish chirom Massage.
