Clianthus formosus - floral emblem of southern Australia, where it grows in desert areas and near salt lakes; it is also found in other arid and dry areas of the continent such as Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia. The signature of the plant shows all its strength that allows it to live in such particular environments: intense and brilliant red flowers, with a dark and shiny center, which look like sad eyes full of tears, 7 - 10 centimeters long, which form a flower head of four or five flowers. The longevity of its seeds, which can flower even after 30 or 40 years, tells the main property of the essence, which treats deep wounds retained for many years. The term Clianthus derives from the Greek kleos, gloria, and anthos, a flower, while formosus means beautiful and well-formed. The flower owes its name to Charles Sturt, captain of an expedition in 1844/45 who described the red sea on the inhospitable and desolate land of the interior of the continent, while the first to discover the plant was William Dampier in 1699.
