Blends of essential oils for cellulite

Cellulite affects most, if not almost all, of women ; it has causes not only in lifestyle (poor diet, lack of movement, toxin overload), but also in normal hormonal fluctuations, as well as in genetic predisposition.

Nutrition and physical activity are essential if we want to counteract the onset of cellulite and reduce its appearance, as well as treatments and massages such as remodeling or manual lymph drainage massage .

Massages are a panacea for blood circulation, which is one of the causes of cellulite: when the blood and lymphatic circulation are unable to drain the body sufficiently, toxins form between the cells and tissues which, in the long run, can bring to the deposit of fat and edema.

Massaging the areas affected by cellulite every day helps . Even when you are not willing to undergo daily anti-cellulite treatments with qualified operators or masseurs, you can massage the areas subject to cellulite on your own, combining a mixture of essential oils that can allow you to derive greater benefits from the mechanical timulation of the tissues and circulation .

Essential oils to be used in mixtures for anti-cellulite massages

You can use different mixtures of oils, to be mixed with 30 ml of almond oil to which 5 drops of jojoba oil have been added.

The following mixtures can be used depending on the type of cellulite:

Mixture to reinvigorate the circulation, in case of hard cellulite:

> juniper essential oil: 14 drops

> lemon essential oil: 10 drops

Deflate mixture to be used in case of edema and soft cellulite:

> fennel lemon essential oil: 8 drops

> grapefruit lemon essential oil: 12 drops.

Anti-cellulite bath with essential oils

In addition to massages, warm baths can also be used: essential oils are particularly suitable for melting in hot bath water, diluted first in a teaspoon of honey. The properties of essential oils are fully released during the bath. Bath salts can also be added to further enhance the anti-cellulite qualities of the bathrooms.

About one kg of coarse salt is poured into the bath. Once the salt is dissolved, oils can be added.

The mixture consists of the following oils:

> lemon essential oil: 5 drops;

> grapefruit essential oil: 5 drops;

> juniper essential oil: 3 drops;

> essential oil of basil: 4 drops.

The various oils are mixed in a spoonful of honey and dissolved in the bath water.

Other mixtures for the bath against cellulite can be the following:

> 8 drops of lemon essential oil + 4 drops of thyme essential oil

> 4 drops of patchouli essential oil + 4 drops of sage essential oil

> 6 drops of essential juniper oil 6 drops + 6 drops of rosemary essential oil 6 drops.

Like the other mixtures, they are mixed with a teaspoon of honey and then dissolved in hot water from the bathtub.

Warning : essential oils are concentrates of very powerful natural elements, therefore it is not recommended to use them pure on the skin.

In any case, always test the personal tolerance to the single oils : smell the aroma (at a distance from the bottle) and pour a drop on the skin of the forearm to test the effect it derives. If your skin becomes red or itchy, and if you feel headache or dizziness, it means that the oil is not for you.
