Peach oil: properties and uses

Peach oil, delicate and nutritious, is an oil particularly suitable for dry, sensitive or irritated skin and can also be used for the care of children's skin.

Let's see in detail what are the properties and uses of fishing oil for the beauty of face and body skin.

Peach oil: properties and uses for the skin

Peach oil is an excellent natural remedy for body and face skin and is suitable for all skin types. Thanks to the emollient action, the oil extracted from peach kernels is particularly suitable for those with dry skin or in case of dehydration caused for example by excessive exposure to the sun's rays.

The antioxidant properties, combined with the emollient and moisturizing ones, also make the peach oil a good ally for skin with wrinkles, loss of tone and elasticity.

Peach oil also has soothing properties and is very well tolerated by sensitive or irritated skin and can be used: it can be used by adults and children in case of skin inflammation, dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis.

Being a vegetable oil that is absorbed quickly and without greasy, the peach oil can be used without problems even in case of oily skin; the oily and impure skins that have large pores benefit from them.

You can use peach oil as a facial moisturizer, or to remove make-up from the skin, or even as a massage oil to soothe irritated or inflamed skin, or finally as an oil to convey essential oils to be massaged on the body to counteract lack of tone or of hydration, cellulite or stretch marks.

Those who dedicate themselves to making DIY cosmetics can also add peach oil to their face and body creams or lotions, in particular to prepare products for sensitive, irritated or fragile skin.

Peach oil: cosmetic properties and uses

Peach oil is the vegetable oil extracted from the core of the fruit of the same name: peach seeds contain an average of 40% oil, which is normally extracted by cold pressing and then refined.

The oil extracted from peach kernels contains fatty acids and vitamin E, a natural antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals.

Peach oil is characterized by a light yellow color, a very delicate fragrance and a slightly oily texture, which make it perfect as a massage oil to convey essential oils or to make other oils richer and fatter.

The use of peach seed oil in cosmetics is widespread: this oil is in fact part of different formulations of face and body creams, massage oils, lip balms, lotions and soaps.

Peach oil is used pure, with the addition of essential oils or mixed with 5-10% with other vegetable oils, creams and lotions.

You can buy peach oil in well-stocked herbalists or online at natural body care retailers.
