Drop 99, what it is

Drop 99 is a portable filter that allows 99.999999% of all bacteria in the water to be blocked. This is an idea born of the SWP company, with the aim of solving the problem of contaminated water in countries that need it.

The data of the World Health Organization unfortunately say that by 2025 half of the world's population will live in water-stressed areas and without a turnaround at that date 3.4 billion people will not have access to drinking water and will risk death as it happens today and continuously.

"Learn for your own good, drink well"

The cultural project "Drink well" joins this initiative, that is, it accompanies the mere distribution of an object with an educational project that spreads the culture of knowing how to drink well among the populations.

The Drop 99 filters, cheaper than others on the market, must, according to the company's vision, become a domestic, personal, daily object and not a technical apparatus that intervenes only in times of emergency. The "BERE BENE" project aims to drastically reduce the tragic number of more than 2.5 million children (source World Health Organization) who die each year from diseases of bacterial origin such as dysentery, cholera, giardia, typhoid and poliomyelitis.

Benefit company, when a project is sustainable

Design, research, anti-bacterial polymers, low energy impact production: these elements have gained strength in the realization of a project that, thanks to the contribution of many, is destined to take off.

Here, collected the initial 20 thousand euros, these will be used to coordinate aid in various countries of the world such as Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar, Guatemala, Ecuador; through schools, local hospitals and orphanages it will be possible to explain, inform and educate children about the use of the Drop 99 filter. In addition, teaching materials, magnetic boards, videos, posters and lecture notes about a cartoon character, "Swappy" will be provided, which will lead children to the correct use of the bottle.

There will also be a press office that will take care of the progress of the project .

Who are SWP?

Sustainable Water Project - SWP - born December 19, 2016 in Milan from the union of the experiences of Luca, Pietro, Giorgio, Fabio, Beppe and Gigi to give life to the first Italian Benefit Company specialized in purification projects and production of drinking water off the grid (without network) with solutions not connected. It is a heterogeneous work group and open to new spaces of collaboration and positive energies that will want to unite.
