EpiCura, when care comes home

Here is the story of Epicura, or rather EpiCuramed.it, a start-up that helps seniors and sportspeople, but not only, to carry out physical therapies and specific treatments directly from home or from work .

Often, for various reasons, going to a medical center, going to an osteopath or reaching a physiotherapy study becomes difficult, especially for elderly people or for those who have suffered serious injuries, but also for those who just can't break away from the workplace and, despite himself, continue with the activity.

EpiCura, growing e-health

EpiCura was born in March 2017 as a web platform, in fact a reality conceived by a group of Turin kids, which aims to allow anyone to access in a timely, easy and safe way the necessary physical therapies, directly from home or from the place of work.

Practically, through a digital platform, EpiCura connects professionals and patients who need home care, guaranteeing a timely service, delivered on the same day, and just a click away 24 hours a day.

The e-health market, as research and surveys carried out by Research and Market and Deloitte underline, are constantly growing and growing. More and more people need physiotherapy and osteopathic treatments at home, even those who, due to their own will or lack of choice, abandon public health and decide to rely on the private sector, are growing.

It is not just a question of treatments for the musculoskeletal system, the service is in fact expanding more and more: the areas of intervention and the main problems dealt with also concern neurological, respiratory, pediatric, geriatric, cardio-circulatory and digestive disorders . otorhinolaryngology, genitourinary.

Where EpiCura works

For now, the platform is running mainly in the area of ​​birth, namely Turin and the province, and is slowly opening up in Milan as well .

The organizers find positive opinions from specialists, who on their part can have the possibility of an optimized management of time and work, and on the other the users, especially sportsmen or lonely seniors, who say they are satisfied. The goal of the team, with the end of 2017, is to reach other large Italian cities, expanding even beyond the national border.

Curiosity about the founders : the two co- founders are named Alessandro Ambrosio and Gianluca Manitto, born in 1991; while those involved in the web part are the software developer Guido Nebiolo, also 26 years old. Alessandro Picatto, sector advisor, is also one of the project's creators.
