The World Day dedicated to autism - the World Autism Awareness Day - dresses the monuments blue by extolling a "Light it up blue!"; blue is the color chosen by the UN to promote the initiative, and for many years has brought to light the theme of the autistic syndrome throughout the planet, painting it with the color of the sky and the sea.

In all the squares of Italy, in fact, on Sunday 2 April 2017 there will be a series of initiatives to increase awareness of autism, present the campaign, show solidarity with families and raise funds. Who promotes Autism Day

The initiative is promoted by the Italian Autism Foundation ( FIA ) and has its own hashtag # sfidAutismo17; on the association's website it is also possible to receive instructions to donate and to participate in the event on the nearest topic.

The Italian schools, where autism is often a tangible reality and not always easy to manage, have promoted a series of initiatives on the subject, with events, shows and meetings, in order to help families, raise awareness among young people and to make everyone aware of a world that is often difficult to interpret and communicate with. Here, to follow, only a few ideas about the innumerable events proposed for the day of April 2nd, and which continue also for the days to follow. The programming is vast throughout the peninsula and there are so many appointments, so much so that it was difficult even for the FIA ​​to report them all on the site. Here are some.

> From April 2nd, for the whole week, Cinemautismo 2017 IX edition will take place at the Cinema Massimo in Via Verdi 18.

> On April 1st, at 7.30 pm, at the Auditorium Cassa di Risparmio di Bra, in Via Principi 30, there will be the Concert for autism "I'll give you a dream".

Novara

> April 2nd at 3.00 pm meeting in Viale Verdi 3, departure of the walk full of balloons towards the center; to follow at the Broletto games for children, soap bubble workshops, followed by the launch of the balloons.

> On April 5th at 9.00 pm at the Cinema Araldo, it's time for the Cineforum Autism in which everyone can enjoy the film "Temple Grandin, an extraordinary woman".

Milan

> On April 2nd, from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm, at the Park Center, in Via San Rocco, Blue Walk will be held : let's walk together for autism . In the morning, workshops will be offered that will bring children and young people closer to the world of autism.

Brescia

> On April 2nd, from 3.30 pm, in Piazza Loggia, the Autisminsieme Fund and the Autismando Association organize entertainment for families and children.

Bologna

> On April 2nd, from 10.00 to 22.00, in Piazza del Nettuno, Angsa Bologna chose to take to the streets and bring autism among the people. The Art Association Fontechiara di Tolè will color the whole square blue and the Florist "La Mimosa" will decorate the gazebos. The association "It only happens in Bologna" will illuminate all the way blue to visit the statue of Neptune that is currently being restored. There will be hundreds of seedlings of not forgetting me as a gift to all citizens with a small donation.

Umbria

> "Light it up blue": public lighting with blue light of the main historical centers and significant monuments throughout the region, from 27 March to 3 April

Rome

> On 2 April, at 5.30 pm, in Montecitorio a Porte Aperte there will be an event dedicated to the World Day of Awareness about Autism established by the UN with participation in the Concert of the Band of the Carabinieri in the context of the event.
