Relief for the skin with natural after-sun

After exposure to the sun, the skin may be red and dehydrated or show obvious symptoms of erythema or burns: small blisters, widespread redness and burning are signs of excessive sun exposure, perhaps without protection .

Let's see how to give relief to the skin thanks to the natural after- sun to prepare at home .

Natural after-sun, like doing it at home

After a day on the beach or in the pool we feel the skin "pull": the skin appears dry, dehydrated and sometimes also presents a diffuse redness, accompanied by small blisters, burning or itching.

Obviously we have exaggerated with the sun and now our skin needs hydration and soothing active ingredients against inflammation.

To give relief to the skin we can prepare a natural after-sun lotion in the home with ingredients easily available in herbal medicine .

Ingredients

> a tablespoon of aloe vera gel;

> a teaspoon of avocado oil;

> 5 drops of lavender essential oil.

Preparation

Mix the ingredients in a small bowl starting with the avocado oil and continuing with the drops of lavender essential oil and the aloe gel. Stir vigorously to mix the gel with the oil: gel and oil are in fact immiscible with each other and tend to separate quickly if they are not subjected to constant agitation.

Then immediately apply the after-sun cream all over the body, on clean, dry skin. The relief will be immediate and you can repeat the operation as needed.

If you need a more emollient effect, try the following recipe instead, prepared only with oils.

Ingredients

> a tablespoon of coconut oil

> a teaspoon of avocado oil

> 5 drops of lavender essential oil

Preparation

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, then apply the after-sun lotion on the skin with a gentle massage until completely absorbed.

How to protect yourself from sun damage

A sunscreen suitable for your skin type is essential to avoid rashes and burns but also and above all to prevent skin cancers .

The sun, in fact, is a risk factor because it causes the formation of free radicals and can induce changes in the cellular DNA that can propagate and give rise to neoplasms.

It therefore appears important to expose the skin to the sun with the appropriate protections and to avoid exposing oneself to sunlight during the hottest hours of the early afternoon.

Better to seek shelter from the sun, especially between noon and four in the afternoon, staying under the umbrella and wearing hats and sarongs.

Exposing oneself to the sun does not only cause damage, on the contrary: the sun plays an important role in the reactions that take place in our body and is for example necessary to convert the cholesterol present in the skin to vitamin D, which is essential for bone mineralization.

Sun exposure with moderation and common sense is therefore the best choice to reap all the benefits of the sun without risk.
