The raw food diet, more commonly known in Italian as " raw food ", is no longer a mysterious object and the number of people who adopt it, totally or in part, is growing.

1. The «I would like to be raw food»
This category includes people who love the idea of the raw food diet, read books and articles about it, are very up to date, but for one reason or another (often more an excuse), they don't really try their hand at raw food .
Many of them experience this kind of choice as "all or nothing", but opting for nothing when it comes to dealing with a possible effort. In this way, however, you lose the health benefit that still exists in eating even just parizamente raw food.
2. The yo-yo raw food
We can easily recognize the cruelist yo-yo because he totally throws himself into the adventure ... but generally it doesn't last more than a month, only to return to cooked food and once again feel attracted by raw food consequently to a physical or psychological down.
Here, too, we need to understand that returning to cooked food is not a failure at all: if maintaining such a choice for a long time requires too much will and makes you feel worse, it means that it is not for you at the moment.
3. The auto-purifier
There are people who take the raw food diet temporarily to purify themselves, detoxify and heal. These measure their will power and decide for a reasonable period of time, not too short to invalidate the purification, not too long to create a psychophysical stress.
There is nothing wrong with all this, but it would also be good to work on any unhealthy habits of one's lifestyle so as not to have to resort to this kind of gimmick to purify oneself.

4. The "quasi" crudist
We recognize them because they eat "almost" totally raw food for the "almost" totality of time . And for this they are "almost" raw foodists.
It is a common step along the way to become raw foodists and it is a positive step, but it is good not to look too far and feel arrived because the goal still requires another step.
5. The raw food
The one who finally eats only raw and is happy with this choice, both with himself and with others, because if the importance given to the rigor of the diet exceeds that given to the same wellness or to relationships with others, it can prove problematic. .
When followed correctly, the raw food diet gives excellent benefits both to the body and to the mood, which, beyond all cataloging, is the only thing that really matters.
6. The raw vegan
It can happen to find people who follow both the principles of raw food and those of veganism at the same time; some of them are motivated by ethical principles, others by an interest in well-being, others by some sort of inner search.
Even in this case, all the possible motivations that lead to such a choice cannot be a matter of judgment, but it is certain that when one undertakes certain lifestyles in a healthy way, there must be good humor, self-irony, open-mindedness, flexibility .. because if the result is obsession, proselytism, the sense of belonging to an elite and fighting a battle, perhaps we should review something about our relationship with food.
Raw food yes, but ...
These 6 categorizations have been described for the first time by Frederic Patenaude, a famous Canadian raw food worker with long experience. They are a game but not too much: they explain to us that whatever our approach to choosing a diet, we should avoid idealizing it too much, so as not to remain a person like that for life "I would love to ... but ...".
We should also be happy with our choices and not give up something with a sense of sacrifice or commit a sin, nor adopt a diet knowing that it is good but does not like the taste.
Finally, one should not exalt or boast of the level of coherence with any food model: there are no competitions and food should not be a tool to attract approval.
