Nigella soap: black soap

Overview of nigella soap

Nigella soap is a totally natural high quality product, which therefore does not contain perfumes, preservatives, or other chemical additives.

The nigella sativa or black cumin, the ingredient that gives it its name, originates in northern Africa, but also grows in the eastern Mediterranean. The nigella has been known since the time of the ancient Egyptians, so much so that amphorae full of black cumin were found in the tomb of Tutankhamun.

Nigella seeds are used for their healing properties against respiratory disorders, such as asthma and bronchitis. The oil that is extracted, on the other hand, is considered an excellent natural remedy for certain skin disorders, including eczema, dermatitis, erythema and burns.

The other ingredient of nigella soap is olive oil . Thanks to the combined effects of nigella sativa and olive oil, this soap gently cleanses the skin, removing impurities and at the same time nourishing it. It is recommended for everyone, but especially for teenagers who suffer from acne and those with mycosis, eczema, dermatitis, warts, burns and skin inflammation.

Laurel oil often appears in the composition of nigella soap; in this case it is Aleppo soap with nigella.

How to use nigella soap

Nigella soap is used as a traditional detergent and is suitable for the hygiene of the whole body. Like all vegetable soaps, it does not foam. It is slightly irritating to the eyes, it is therefore necessary to avoid using it in the periocular area and, in the event of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with cold water.

Nigella soap has a spicy smell and is also suitable for men. It can be used for shaving instead of shaving foam; in this case it helps to shave gently and at the same time moisturizes, helping to reduce the problem of dry skin .

Its fragrance, although not "intrusive", persists for a long time, which is why nigella soap is a natural product very suitable as a perfume in linen drawers and closets. If you use it in this way, it is advisable to choose one with a high percentage of cumin, because it is precisely the nigella that gives the characteristic spicy fragrance, the more cumin is there, the more intense the perfume will be. Furthermore, a high percentage of this ingredient makes the product more valuable.

Finally, nigella soap is hypoallergenic and completely biodegradable . You can buy it at most well-stocked herbalists and parapharmacies, but you can find it very easily online .
