Vegetable oils for hair

The packs with vegetable oils are useful to nourish the hair, restructure it and make it softer, shiny and easily detangled: these are therefore ideal remedies for those with dry, brittle, damaged hair with split ends, but also for those who have curly hair that tends to frizz.

How and how much to use vegetable oils on the hair

To use vegetable oils on the hair, just mix the vegetable oils best suited to your hair type: to facilitate the application, try to combine vegetable butters or viscous oils with more fluid oils and, for a better result, you can heat the mixture in a water bath.

After removing the oils from the bain-marie it is possible to perfume and enrich the pack with a few drops of essential oil to enhance the action of vegetable oils.

Apply your butter and vegetable oil mixture on damp hair, distributing the mask well over the lengths and especially over the tips: avoid the scalp as much as possible, particularly if you have oily or thin hair, to avoid weighing it down further. To be able to easily eliminate oil residues, do not overdo the quantities.

The shutter speed can vary from 20 to 60 minutes and better results are obtained by wrapping the hair with a towel; then remove the vegetable oils with a mild shampoo.

The frequency with which to use compresses with vegetable oils for hair depends on the needs of your hair: you may need to use vegetable oils sporadically, for example after having been at the beach or in the pool; if your hair is very damaged or dry, then you could apply vegetable oils from once a month to once a week.
